Show and Tell Friday!

Pin It Now!

Welcome once again to Show and Tell Friday!  It's always great to see so many of you joining in each week!

This week I'm sharing my reorganized dining room.  I sold my white hutch that I had against this wall and I moved my blue china cabinet over to this space! (Sorry for the poor lighting...I took this photo in the early morning)

I love the way it looks here and it makes the room look so much bigger without so much furniture.  Lauren must have said "it looks so much bigger in here" 5 times since I sold the hutch!

Moving the blue china cabinet also allows more natural light on my staircase. I didn't realize how much it blocked the light until I moved it!
The view from the staircase
What I won't share with you is the 8 boxes of china that I removed from the white hutch. I have the boxes stacked in my bedroom until I can figure out a better place to put them. I seriously need to do some Spring cleaning and get rid of some stuff!  I sure wish I had a garage...

So what do you think? Do you like the blue cabinet here?

If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate. If you would like to join in, please enter your name and leave your exact Show and Tell blog post link, not just your blog link and as a common courtesy link back to my blog. If your link has been removed, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting, or e-mail me with any questions.

Thank to all of you that join in every week!

I like the new spot for the blue cabinet. I liked your white cabinet too. So, I'm liking the change. It always keeps things fresh and motivates you to reorganize and rearrange and play with your things.

Hi Cindy! Oh, I love your blue china cabinet here.
I think I've messed up and not followed the guidelines to Show and Tell! I'm showing a luncheon at my church using my things from my home. If this doesn't apply, please feel free to delete it. After reading your post, I read the guidelines. I'm sorry.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I like it Cindy! It looks so pretty and the space does seem more open. It has a great shape to it.

Cindy I love the blue cabinet and it is amazing how much bigger a room can look with a piece or 2 of furniture removed. I am getting ready to do the same thing in my study. Have a huge armoire in there that needs to be moved out. My son is coming this weekend to visit and hoping I can get him and hubby to move it for me. Isn't that terrible- they come and I make them work!!

I love the blue hutch. It gives a focal point on that wall, without being to "heavy." That blue was a beautiful choice.

Hi Cindy,

Yes, I like it but I also enjoyed seeing all your pretty china. I am funny because if I have something pretty I can't stand to store it. I want it out to enjoy and dust!!! It is a nice change.

I adore, love, and am enamored with the less cute look you have transformed to a more refind European chicness to the rooms heart and soul...Breating new life into it, while letting it tell you what it wants to be :)

Happy weekend, much inspiration!

Stunning. You have one of the most elegant and royal dining rooms I've seen here in Blogger.

I really like your chandelier and the padded chairs. You have a queen's style in you.

However, the blue cabinet is kinda off with the setting. Maybe you should paint it in white or dark brown perhaps? But it still looks great.

Cindy,
Looks fabulous. Couple questions. The blue china hutch is it antiqued or just plain blue paint? It looks antiqued. The white wicker chair backs looks painted too. How did you get the paint to stick to that? Not like you can sand. Want to try to duplicate love the look thanks for sharing.
