Pin It Now!

My dad wanted me to let you all know that he appreciates all the wonderful messages you left here on my blog about the loss of my mom.  He has been so very touched by them.  He told me last night that he has read them all 3 times!  Thank you all so much!

I love that she gave you so many beautiful things, she clearly started you off to a life of loving beautiful things. Just as she obviously did.

How nice of him to think of others at this time. I lost my father 8 years ago and the pain was unbearable. I have to say that first year after losing him was the worst of my life. The second was not much better. But with time....I learned to live with it....as you will too. So it does get better it just takes a very long time. Well, I type this crying at just the thought of him....but really you do learn to live with it. I have to say antidepressants got me through. Just in case you think you might need....do it. I was not moving forward at all till I started taking them. I took for about two years....because I could think of nothing but him without them.

Bless his heart.... my heart continues to go out to the whole family. It's hard experiencing the loss of a loved one, losing my brother and grandmother and grandfather within 8 months of eachother is difficult everyday for me, but my Grandfather had a very long battle with cancer and my grandmother had been struggling with alzheimers since the age of 58, she passed at 68 and my grandfather was 72, but for them, to see the pain they were in and now knowing they are truly at peace warms my heart :) Losing my brother will continue to always be a struggle for me, as he was only 27 and losing his daily battles to suicide, I can't tell you enough Cindy, how much my heart aches for him and how I so want to tell him I love him....so sorry for rambling, may God continue to comfort you and surround you with peace and love! Xoxoxo

Forgive me for not realizing your mom recently passed away. I know this must be such a difficult time for your family. My mother will be 91 in June and I treasure each and every day I have with her.

As for the person who left you a rude comment about you showing a certain piece too often (in their opinion), please don't let small minded people like that stop you from doing what you do so well and that is sharing from your heart and home.

Praying for you and your dad,
Judy

Hi Cindy...I'm so glad you are able to be a comfort to your dad. I am very close to my dad as well...we have always been sort of buddies. My mom was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago with dementia. We have slowly watched her leave us. My dad is her main care-taker. His days are busy and they are hard. But the thought of him alone seems more difficult to handle than what he is going through now. God bless your Dad and you too. Warmly, Ann

I pray for him to make it through all of this and for you also. It's so hard to lose a love one, but the comfort of knowing that they are in heaven with no pain. Your whole family is still in my thoughts, Cindy. I remember how hard that first year was after losing my dad. Leaning on each other helped us through. So huddle up, cry some, laugh some, love a lot.

God bless your dad, I know it is very difficult for him at this time, and for you and your family to lose a wife, mother, grandmother. Mothers are usually the heart of the family and help keep the family together. Our family was never the same after my mom passed away, and my dad took it the hardest, so keep your dad close to you in heart, mind, body and soul. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
