Show and Tell Friday!

Pin It Now!

It's time for another Show and Tell Friday once again!  This week I'm sharing my love of my favorite flower, hydrangeas (although pink roses are also a favorite)!!!  Above are some dried hydrangeas that my former Mother-in-Law, Judy, brought me a couple years ago!  They were from her garden and they were huge!!!
This one above was just from the grocery store!

My hydrangeas turn this pretty shade of green as they age (above). Below you can see them in transition between pink and green.

I love decorating with both fresh and dried hydrangeas!

These are a combination of dried and silk hydrangeas.

and these are silk....

Fresh from the garden...

Beautiful painted hydrangeas from a blogging friend...

More green hydrangeas from the garden...

Fun with hydrangeas...

I can hardly wait for mine to start blooming again! That won't be until about May though, but the lilacs should be blooming in a couple months!

I love hydrangeas but they are not common here. Every time I buy them they immediately wilt! I've been told to cut the stem, add food, even to dip the tip in hot water. I've given them a full soak in the tub to revive them but when I put them in a vase they just droop again. There must be a secret. Yours are beautiful!

Your beautiful hydrangeas made me realize that I definitly had a posting for here. Although your flowers far out-rate mine!!

I, too, love hydrangeas. Only one bush, alas, at Linderhof -- one established they do well on the prairie -- it's the getting them established that's hard -- they don't like the dryness of prairie summers!

Cindy that is my all time favorite
flower. I have 2 planted in my

bluish purplish color. I dry them
when they are through blooming that
way I can enjoy them all winter.

Hydrangeas are my very favorite flower as well. How did you dry them so well. I have tried twice to dry them from the hydrangeas in my garden and both times they got moldy and rotted looking. What am I doing wrong? I linked up to your party. Thanks so much for hosting.
