Home Tour

Through the years I've shared different neighborhoods around my area with you. I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite homes all in one post!
As many of you know, I live in the Silicon Valley area of California. Home of Apple, Ebay, HP, and the list goes on and on....

Lots of people! Lots of beautiful homes! The old neighborhoods are my favorites...

This one below is my dream home....

These homes are located in Los Gatos, San Jose and Santa Cruz.

Vintage lovelies

I just added this adorable vintage children's play tea set to my etsy shop!  I bought it awhile ago to sell but then didn't want to part with it so I kept it for awhile to enjoy.
I also have some other beautiful vintage pieces for sale there too!

You can click on "Shop" at the top of my blog to see these and other items I have for sale!

Update on my online dating adventure:  I've gone out with 4 guys so far but there was only one that I really liked and I'm still waiting to see if he is as interested in me as he said he was. I'm now remembering that these men seem to act like they are very interested and then you don't hear from them again!  I feel bad when someone wants to see me again and I'm not into them but I don't lead them on!  It's all okay, I'm just enjoying the process, I'm not in any rush to find someone.  I'm meeting another guy on Thursday evening and there are a couple more that have contacted me and I need to respond to.  If I were into married men or boys in their 20s I could have a date 7 nights a week! Haha...this online dating thing is crazy!  I live in Silicon Valley, one of the few places where there are more men than women...you would think this would be easier!

Show and Tell Friday

It's time again for Show and Tell Friday!  This week I'm sharing some crystal candlesticks and candle holders!  This was an arrangement I put together about a year and half ago right after Christmas.
I love the look of silver, crystal and white candles together!

Let's visit an amazing lavender farm!

My friend Lia recently visited Mt. Shasta Lavender Farm in Northern California and she has allowed me to share her photos with you!

Isn't that view amazing! That's Mt. Shasta in the background.

From Lia:
The farm is about 15-20 minutes outside of the town of Weed. If you are heading towards Oregon it should be on your list of stops!
The views are incredible but the smell will take your breath away!

When I went it was about 96 degrees with a slight breeze. I opened the door to the car and was embraced in the intoxicating smell of lavender. I walked into the Tuscan-style building and was greeted with a refreshing (and cold) glass of lavender lemonade…lavender stem included!. The boutique offers a wide array of lavender-infused items from paintings and tiles to sachets and soaps. You are invited by the very friendly and informative staff to cut lavender ($4.00 for 100 stems) or just wander through the fields and the labyrinth. They provide baskets and scissors as well as parasols to keep you out of the direct sun! Fabulous!
Thank you Lia for allowing me to share this on my blog! I can almost smell the lavender!

Bouquets through the years...

My life lately seems to consist of working, working out, working at finding a good date and working at being a good friend and of course I try to be a good mom too!  That has left little time for this blog! I promise you I have not given up on this big part of my life! I love blogging but I think my life was feeling a little unbalanced and feel like I need to take a little break now and then. I will still be posting regularly but I may fill in here and there with some things you may have already seen here if you've been following my blog for awhile!  Today is one of those days...
Today I gathered a lot of photos of bouquets I've made for my home. Most of the flowers are from my garden but some were from the grocery store!

As you can probably guess, I love fresh flowers in my home!
