Enoteca La Storia

Pin It Now!

Last week a date took me to a place I had never been before, Enoteca La Storia in Los Gatos, California.  I I was really impressed with this place and even more so when I heard that Joe, one of the owners, constructed most of this place himself! He built all these wine shelves!

The floor looks like old salvaged wood but it isn't, he distressed it himself...
We sat at the bar and had wine and cheese. I took my friend Becky there last night and we had already had dinner but the sandwiches they were making looked amazing! I'll have to go back for one of those!

He made this wine glass holder from copper pipe and then got the beautiful patina by applying acid.

The owners, Joe and Mike have included many photos of their families...

Aren't these wine tags cute?

Here are the owners, Joe and Mike...
If you area in the area I highly recommend a visit here!

Next door to Enoteca La Storia is a beautiful shop called Bianco. It's full of beautiful white things so of course I loved it!  The owner wouldn't allow me to take photos inside, which I understand...they are very creative and their ideas would just be duplicated elsewhere if they were posted on a blog.

I highly recommend a visit to both these places if you are in the area!

Oh that looks like a lovely, relaxing place. Having young children I just never seem to get to places like this anymore:( Thanks for posting though, at least I get a visual vacation.

Cheers!

Dear Cindy,

You are making me so homesick for CA - but, I grew up in Pasadena. My dad was from San Luis Obispo, though, and, of course, spent every holiday, there at G&G's house! Then, our second cousins are from Santa Cruz - life guards - all of them.

I just LOVE those glass pumpkins - quite seriously! These are something new that I've never seen before and so perfect for right now, here, in VT. The Bianco looks, well, it looks so close but sooooooo far away.

I just want to say, simply, thank you for your post on 9/11.

That is almost funny about the mirror in the garden - but, not! I've been considering the same thing with a cloche that receives the morning sun in the space that I've "stashed" it, for the moment.

You're dog is sooooo cute!

It's been a rush, these last few weeks - going back to school. I'd missed several posts but have had such a pleasant little sojourn, here. Thanks!

Love, Katy Noelle

Cindy-What a neat place! I hope your date was as good as the place you went to! And, what a talented owner to build all those shelves and set it up as he did! Wow-impressive! Diana

Oh wow, that is something I would want in my area! Is it affordable or rather on the pricy side?

Hi Cindy,
I'm a new followers of yours! My name's Martina, from Italy. Really pleased to see in the USA you enjoy so much italian wines and even wine shops with italian names...
When a read the name of the second shop (Bianco) I guessed it sold white wine... "bianco" in Italian means white, but may be you already knew... here we love white wines very much, so i didn't catch it sells "white things", lol!

Cheers, wruite you again soon (and sorry if my english it's not the best!)
