A Little Project

Pin It Now!

I found this cute little tote box at the thrift store awhile ago. It was cute as it was but it was a little dirty and the price sticker had discolored the paint on the top left side. Also, it was the wrong colors for my home but for $3 I didn't want to pass it up because I knew all it needed was a little paint. I added a rose applique to each side and painted it white and distressed it a little.
I'm going to use it for buffet style meals to hold the flatware wrapped in napkins.

Someone asked about the bluebird plates on my last post. They are made by The Salem China company. Click here to see my post about them last February when I bought them. I've never been able to find out any more about them.

Edited to add: Since every time I put a picture of my quilt on my blog,
someone emails me and asks where I got it so I though I should include it
here. It is from Summer's Cottage. You can find a link to
her on my sidebar under "My Favorite Places to Visit"

What a brilliant idea. I'm always struggling to find the right piece to hold my flatware during parties. We love to entertain and that's a great idea. Of course ... you made it.

I love your little flatware tote. It is precious!
Could you tell me where you purchased the pretty mirror in your dining room (with the dishes on top)? I have a feeling you are going to say your dad made it for you! *smile
I am wanting one like it for my dining room and wondered if you would be so kind as to take a close up pic of it and email it to me? I would so appreciate it. Everything you do makes me want to do the same...your house is so cute.
Thanks again...bjc@sbcglobal.net

I love the tall glasses on the table. I bet they're another one of your lucky thrift store finds.

Romance is a nebulous thing with the curious property of being describable but not definable. We won't muck with your head and try to suggest there's an ultimate definitive definition out there.
