Happy Birthday America - Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! ...and welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

I found this moss lined basket at a nursery (Summer Winds) a couple weeks ago and put an assortment of plants in it.  I think it will get more beautiful as the plants grow.

I love the little fern I found to put in there!

I'm writing this post on the morning of the 4th of July. I'll be going over to Allen's home and he's making his delicious ribs and I'll be making baked beans. We're also having fresh corn and a cucumber salad.  I went on hike this morning because I know I will be eating a lot tonight!

The country club where he lives had their big firework show last night and it was spectacular!

I hope you all enjoy(ed) your 4th of July! This day even more special because I found out as an adult, thanks to one of my relatives tracing our ancestors, that I am distantly related to John Hart, who signed the Declaration of Independence!

Happy Independence Day!

Thanks to all of you that join in on Show and Tell Friday every week and thanks to all of you who leave such nice comments!

Happy 4th of July! It sounds like you had a good time! We had family in town so it was nice. That's very cool about your distant relative! I found out that I'm related to, or guess I am one of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. I love our beautiful country! Have a great weekend and thanks so much for hosting this party!
