My New Toile Pillows

Pin It Now!

I was at Marshalls a couple weeks ago and spotted these toile pillows! Love them!!! I wanted darker blue pillows for Fall and Winter and these are perfect! (I just changed my slipcovers on my sofa which is why they looked so wrinkled in these photos. It takes a day or so for the wrinkles to relax)

Beau likes them too because they are filled with feathers and nice & soft...

I also changed out my pastel colored plates that I had over my mirror with blue and white but just for the holiday season. In Jan. I'm going back to the softer colors which I like better.

The pillows were only $19.99 for two so I bought another set so I can have an extra set of covers. With a dog and teenagers hanging out on the couch I've learned that with multiple washings they start to look a little tired after awhile so now I'll have a back up pair of covers. I'm going to make covers for this other set of pillows for Lauren's bed but for now I have them in my wicker cart...

This cart is on the landing of my staircase...
Kelly at Rose Vine Cottage Two bought the same pillows in red! We both have the same Ikea sofa too! Click here to go see hers!

Cindy,

Cute, cute, cute pillows. I never was a fan of toile until about 6 months ago, and now I'm crazy about it! Love that pretty blue color, too.

A very pretty room. I also like all the mirrors on the stairwell. (today was my washing mirror day and washing glass door day--I didn't realize I have 14 mirrors in my home--but now I am wondering how many you have!! HA!)

Cindy, I have a question about washing the slip covers. I asked this before on your blog but did not receive an answer. I have a sofa just like yours and am afraid to wash the slip covers for fear that they will shrink. What was your experience? Did you wash or did you have the slip covers dry cleaned? A million thanks for your comments or any comments from your wonderful readers. Francie M

Love 'em.

Gorgeous!

Francie, I wash my slip covers in hot water and I line dry them. I think they have only shrunk a little but they still fit. I wash them about every 2-3 weeks and they are holding up beautifully.

If you have the Ikea slips don't put them in the dryer...I heard the zippers break!

Stephanie, I think I got the throw at HomeGoods.

I had seen those pillows at our Marshalls too. They look great, nice change out for the season and with your plates on the wall.
Your dining room tree from last year with blue transfer dishes etc. is still one of my all time favs.

I love everything about your sofa and the pillows are beautiful.
I just made several in that same style using a deep pink toile fabric. I love toile!
I have them in my bedroom with a matching pink toile bedskirt and king side pink toile shams.
The shams and skirt came from Horchow and cost me an arm and a leg! Then I got smart and bought similar toile fabric and made my own for hundreds less, yes I said hundred! What was I thinking???
Anyway, I think I'll take a picture and put on my blog.

Lovely, as always, Cindy! I always check for my colors at shops like TJ Maxx and Marshalls, and if I don't watch them closely, the girls test out all the pillows on the floor. Those feather-filled pillows are so comfy, though, I can hardly blame them!

Hi Cindy, How do you like your Ikea sofa? I'm thinking of getting the Ektorp 2+2, I've looked at Pottery Barn's sofa's and I like Ikea's better (plus it's less $$$). The new pillows look beautiful along with the rest of your home! Thanks, Marcy

Pillows look lovely with the plates above. I love the pillows in the wicker cart with all the mirrors. Yes, I have seen the mirrors but each time you change one small thing it becomes all new again. Is that a very large standing mirror on the bottom landing of the stairs? Awesome as always. Have a great day!

I adore these pillows! I love the tailored ruffles with the toile fabric. What a lucky find! If I came across them in Marshalls I would have really wanted to get them even though I don't have a good spot for them in our home!
