Fall Centerpiece

Pin It Now!

I decided to make a fall centerpiece with some things I already had on hand. I was planning to put a white pumpkin on top of this champagne bucket but when I was digging through my storage closet this weekend I found this leaf garland that I've had a few years. I just formed it into a circle and added some floral wire at the bottom so I could secure it to floral foam in the bottom of the bucket.
Then I added some Spanish moss to cover the floral foam and added some small white pumpkins. I also added a fall pinecone & pear floral spray and a feather to add some interest.

I put it on my large silver tray and added some more miniature pumpkins, some gourds and some of that fall potpourri that comes with different types of seed pods. It's so hard to decorate a summery home for fall but I think I like this!
This is the second fall centerpiece I've done this year. I kept the first one up for a few weeks but then I got tired of it. I wonder how long this one will last? I love change so probably not too long!

Hi Cindy. I love both centerpieces! I agree with you that it's hard to decorate a summer home for fall! I think you've done a great job.

Have you considered pomegranates, either fresh or dried? The fresh come in a range of colors, and they may work nicely, too! Check out this painting of ruby red pomegranates and white hydrangeas. Very autumn!

Hi Cindy,

I think your centerpiece is very festive and since you do have white as a back round color your table scape design really shines. I hope you keep it for a while it looks great.

Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

Hi Cindy,
I haven't been around for awhile so thought I'd drop in and see "what's cookin'". First I changed the language of your blog to German just to see what would happen. Of course I couldn't read a word of i till I changed it back. That's a neat feature.
Think I'll try that Rosemary bread. We have a large pot with a large rosemary plant in it on the patio. I can't believe ow hardy that plant is. I love fresh bread and the photo looks delicious.
Have a great week.

Hi Cindy,
I think the orange really compliments your yellow walls and looks great with blue too. I am definitely loving orange lately.

I think the centerpiece looks great, Cindy! Nice job.

I know what you mean about decorating a "summer" home to look like fall. It's the same way vice-versa. I'm jealous of all of these people that cam change their home with the seasons. Must be why my color palette is kind of in the middle--rose and green.

Love the centerpiece. I have the same silver urn but mine is a little (lot) more tarnished. I might use your idea for Thanksgiving!

Dear Miss Cindy,

Your centerpiece looks so lovely. I believe you have such a neutral background, that you could decorate for any season of the year. Living where you live, do you have changing color leaves, or do you have a true winter... with snow? Even with or without this... your overall decorative scheme is so beautiful that if you decorate for the holidays, it would only enhance your existing decorative style. Perhaps to use completely white lights for the holidays.. even the big "old fashioned" bulb lights. That would be so cool. Also... you could decorate with elements from outdoors for Christmas too. I envision your quaint apartment "house" done in Ivory, Pine (natural pine boughs), and burgundy or deep red bows, or gold, or silver. Your possibilities are limitless!

A couple of years ago I decorated my house with entirely "natural" elements. Everything came from outdoors... and I loved it.

Hugs,
PS
