Wind and Rain!

Pin It Now!

Update: The power was off for almost 3 hours but it's now back on! Yay! My heater doesn't work without electricity so I'm glad it's back on!

Its so windy here right now. There are 50-60 mph gusts. I'll post pics of San Francisco when things settle down here. The power keeps going on and off.

Hi Cindy!
Just the other day I was "jealous" (just a little bit) for your nice weather.
We are also having wind, but also a lot of snow and temperature below 21F.

Cindy,
Hunker down in your snug little nest. Light some candles, put some tea in a thermos and enjoy the enforced idleness of it all.

Hang in there. A couple years ago we were without power for 5 days, at Christmas time, during a big ice storm... Ohio, need I say more? Hopefully your storm will not knock out your power for any length of time. Keep safe and dry.

Have you ever looked at some and just known if you lived in the same city you'd be best of friends? Well just visiting your blog for the first time, I get that feeling. You are a very talented designer and I love what you've done with your home. As much as I try, I just can't seem to pull it all together. But that doesn't stop me from trying. Stay safe in your nest.

Oh Cindy,
I heard about the California storms on the news tonight. I guess they are supposed to be quite nasty, high winds, lots of rain, and snow in the mountains. Stay safe! Amy

Cindy
I too have experienced this storm. I live in the S.F. bayarea, and woke up to high winds and rain hitting my windows. My dogs kept barking at all the noises.
Hope you had a safe visit to you son in SF.
Hang on tight and wear heavy shoes so you don't blow away.

Hi Cindy, things are getting worse by the hour on the other side of the Sierra too. I have had about 18 inches in less than 5 hours and still much more to come. Power is going out all over, hoping it will avoid that in my area.
Be safe and stay warm.

Hi Cindy,

Hope you have made it through the storm. I saw it on the news and it looked pretty bad. I bought a copy of Romantic Home for the first time yesterday. Haven't had a chance to read it yet. You'll have to let us all know when Debbie's house is in it. Hope the weather is better for you today.

Hi Cindy,

I'm in So. Cal and it's not hit us nearly as hard - sorry to hear about your power being out. We went through that in the summer and it was so awful but I'd rather be without air than heat :( Glad it's back on for you!

Hugs,
Dena

Wow, I hope the flooding rains at least stayed away from your home. Being without electricity is bad enough when it's cold. . . let alone, wet and cold.

Blessings,

Sher

Hi Cindy, Stay safe. I have been watching the news and all the reports of the crazy California weather. I haven't visited in a while and I apologize. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Your decorated apartment was so pretty at Christmas. :) Lynn
