California Sunshine

Pin It Now!

The sun is shining today but tomorrow the rain is coming...lots of rain! The weatherman said there may be flooding. I hope it holds off for awhile because I'm planning on driving to San Francisco to pick up my son for lunch and take a visit to the Conservatory of Flowers.

I thought I better get some pictures of the daisies that are blooming now. They are the only thing on my back patio that looks good right now.

Hope you enjoy your lunch with your son. Here in central Ohio, we had 1 - 3 inches of snow and wind chills in the single digits. So I soooo appreciate the pictures from your patio and flowers :>) I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy New Year !

Cindy,

The daisies look lovely and oh so perky. Don't you just love daisies? ( I am channeling Meg Ryan here:>)). It is quite chilly here and the next two days are supposed to be frigid. Yuck!!

Enjoy the conservatory!

You are so lucky to have something in bloom in January. The curse of living in NH is that we won't see anything blooming until April if we are lucky. But it sure is pretty right now with all the snow we have had so I need to count my blessings.

Hope the weather stays ok for you to be able to enjoy your time with your son.
Take care.

Enjoy your time with your son and your visit to the Conservatory. I went to college in San Francisco and loved visiting the Conservatory. Thanks for the picture of the daisies. It's icky, rainy, gloomy and rainy here in my part of Oregon. ~Adrienne~

Your daisy's look pretty, nothing in my garden looks pretty right now, matter a fact I feel bad even calling it a garden its more like just a yard.
Drive careful driving to see your son. I heard here in Southern CA. that its going to rain gor 6 days. But you never know.

I am enjoying the California sunshine, too! I cleaned my upper deck yesterday and had breakfast there this morning with my 4 year old son. Now you say there is rain in the forecast? Oh well, we can hardly complain!

I've been watching the sky down here in La Habra and there still isn't much sign of the storm. It was sunny this morning and right now there are stars in the sky. I hear that there are 3 storm systems. We'll see...

I do hope that you are able to make your drive. It sounds wonderful!

BEST BLESSINGS IN 2008!

Hi Cindy. How great to have daisies blooming in January! I just love daisies. They are such a cheerful flower. I think Meg Ryan said that in You've Got Mail! Hope you enjoy the visit with your son. Rhondi

I'm here in the central valley of California (Escalon) and I'm watching the weather, also, and wondering if my fence will hold. I do love a good storm, though. You've given me the impetus to go see the conservatory - but when the weather clears. Hope you have (or have had) a safe trip.

We are battening down the hatches around here. I spent the morning at my dad's in Palo Alto stacking all the patio furniture and putting it under the eaves. He lives in an Eichler and I could just see one of those chairs getting swooped up in the wind and going right through a plate glass window!

Stay dry and thank you for the Daisy picture! It is wonderful living in California, isn't it? Having blooming flowers all year round.

have a nice visit, thanks for sharing your daisies. it's 17 degrees here

Lucky you that have flowers in bloom outside. Here it's snow, a very hard wind and icy roads!! Not much flowers in sight.
I hope you'll be able to go to San Fransisco (oh, it sounds very exotic today LOL).

hahaha....I don't think a picture of what is on my back patio would get any rave reviews. A skiff of old snow...and a big pot of dead bits and pieces. I leave a lot of my old flowers til spring... in case it is a harsh winter and the little birds and squirrels need to dig around to find a seed or two.
So, far..no harsh anything....today is sunny, blue sky and beautiful for us... +2C we are the lucky ones in Canada this year; unusual for Calgary, ... .. the rest are having plenty of cold and snow.
