Show and Tell Friday!

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  I had planned to decorate for Fall last weekend but it was so hot here in Northern California that I just can't get into the Fall mood yet. It's been in the high 90s but it's supposed to start cooling down soon...thankfully!  We had such a cool summer, it was only in the 70s and low 80s almost all summer and now the heat comes in October!

These photos are from last year! Just seeing them gets me a little inspired to make the change from pastels to my blue and white transferware.

Since I'm still dieting I won't be filling this jar with pumpkin candies this year. These are one of my favorite candies and I won't be able to resist them!

If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. Please read the Show and Tell Guidelines for step-by-step instructions on how to participate. If you would like to join in, please enter your name and leave your exact Show and Tell blog post link, not just your blog link and as a common courtesy link back to my blog. If your link has been removed, please re-read over the guidelines before re-posting, or e-mail me with any questions.
Thank you!

It must be hard to get in an autumn mood when it's hot out. It's chilly here in New York State. Last years decorations look awesome. Including those yummy candies. smart to not put them out. Even the best willpower will succumb to pumpkin candies at Halloween.

Can't wait to see everyone's show and tells!

Thanks!

Thanks so much for hosting this fun and inspiring party! I have posted about the greenhouse because it really IS my garden. It's 5 acres of glass right in my back yard. Not too many people this far north can enjoy gardening all year round like I do :)

Hi Cinday, I'm a big fan of your blog, I too turned 50 this year, yep, the big 5-O! haha, it's no biggie to me, age is a number, what matters most is this, family, life, and love! I'm still married to the same man after nearly 27 years, he's still my favorite thrifting partner! Thanks for hosting the Show and Tell Friday, I love all your cottage photos, they're among my faves, tami from the high street cottage

Lovely photos, Cindy. I can't wait to see your new fall look, I'm sure you'll change it up just enough to make it seem like the first, yet timeless as ever. I'm sure you'll find something wonderful for that apothecary jar.

Hi Cindy...

I agree, it would be difficult to be in the mood for autumn with such hot temps. Hope you get some cooler weather soon! I really enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful blue and white transferware! Ohh...and I love those pumpkin candies too! Thank you for hosting another week of Show & Tell for us to enjoy, my friend!

Warmest autumn wishes,

Hi Cindy,
The photos this week are so beautiful with the orange against your china cabinet. BTW....those sweet little orange devils are one of my favorite too.
Gosh, it would be hard to get in the mood to decorate for fall when it is that hot! Hope it cools down a bit for you soon.
Hugs.

Those candies are soooooo fun! I just bought some "for the boys". They disappeared so quickly - I don't understand. =S

It's beautifully autumnal, here, in Vermont, and I haven't caught up to the change of season, yet! =0 The leaves will all be gone in just a couple more days, though; so, I'd better snap to it and think homey, frost on the pumpkin thoughts. Maybe I'm just confused because I'm still putting in my garden!

Love where you're at, eh? =]

Love, Katy

Your fall decor was gorgeous, I love this time of year. Our summer was pretty rainy and only a few really hot days. But the last three weeks have been in the 80's, very unusual for Manitoba. But, next week is supposed to be colder than normal, no happy medium, I guess.
Hugs, Cindy

Smart idea not to put candies in the dish.I always gain weight from my fall "decorations",lol. This year I put tiny "faux" pumpkins in my dish.
Thanks for hosting! Annette

Oh my Heavens Cindy, your home is so beautiful it's like a dream! I'm out in PHX, so I totally understand about the heat. Out here it got to a point where I HAD to decorate for fall in hopes it would fool us into thinking it was cooler outside. Well that and the blasting AC! BTW those DELICIOUS Brachs Pumpkins are on sale at Target! $2 for a big ole bag!! :) Thanks for hosting! :)

I'm not sure what I did wrong on my link to your Friday post, both times my pictures have been removed, I'm rather new to blogging, but thought I had followed the rules. If there is something I'm doing wrong some tips are greatly appreciated. thanks tami

Cindy.....I'm sooo embarrased! My photo is there, this is what fever does to a person, I've had the flu for two days and very tired, I must have checked thru the photos five times before asking if I did anything wrong, and then clicked the link again to refresh and there was my photo. I thought I had followed instructions, and see I did, my face is red now, I hope you'll forgive my error.

Cindy,

i KNOW what you mean about the heat in October! We had record heat temps here in Minnesota ( in the 80's and 90's ) also! UNHEARD OF! It took me awhile also to get into the "fall mood".

I ALWAYS enjoy your lovely photos! I'm inspired by the fact that you don't spend a fortune on your home but IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DO! That takes a lot of talent to pull off!

Good luck on your dieting! You seem to be the kind of person that is able to do whatever you have a mind to do, so I KNOW you'll reach your goal! Sandy
