Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

This week for Show and Tell, I'm going to share some beautiful gifts I received awhile back.

These beautiful chintz plates were from M.~Tales from an O.C. Cottage.  I just need to rearrange things a little bit to make room for them in here...
I think I may need a bigger cabinet to display them soon!

The next gift I receieved awhile back was from Elsie.  Elsie doesn't have a blog but she leaves the nicest comments on mine.  She made this beautiful blue pillow for me...
It even says "My Romantic Home" on it...

Elsie also sent some hair ties for Lauren and a jar of homemade jam which I haven't even tried yet.  I still have opened jars of peach jam and pomegranate jelly I made in the fridge so I want to wait to finish those before I open another jar.

And because it's Earth Day I thought I should share some roses that are blooming in my garden right now.  These are called "French Lace".  The early spring blooms on these are usually more pink and then when the weather warms up the blooms are a soft apricot and ivory color.

If you are joining in on Show and Tell Friday, please remember that your Show and Tell needs to be something from your home or garden. I look forward to seeing everyone's posts...it may take me awhile to get around to visit everyone since I work full time but I'll do my best to get to your blog as soon as I can!

Those dishes are so bright and colorful. I just love them. And I'm such a sucker for that lovely light blue.

I finally saw some daffodils blooming here today when I was driving to the store, and here you are with roses.

I love chintzy things and these plates are just beautiful!

I loved reading all about your Napa trip too-it looks like you had a sensational time! I cannot wait to go back there one day.

Thanks for having me today, Cindy. I have posted a bit of a show and tell about Aussie history and ANZAC cookies.

Best wishes for a beautiful weekend,
Natasha.

My favorite dish is the one with the lilacs. But I think mixing them all together is what gives them such interest.

Elsie, the pillow is so delicate looking and pretty. Monogramming too, wow! I'll bet you made it in an afternoon though ; )

Roses already? I don't even have Lilacs yet!

Happy Earth Day!

I have a Cheery Chintz cup and saucer in the same pattern as your saucer. They were my grandmother's and I have loved them since I was a child. When I get back to the Old House, I plan to collect Chintz. I don't have any room for it here and we have a lot of dust so... It gives me something to look forward to. Blessings.

We all know that anytime you add a soundtrack to life, you're guaranteed to get a little emotional about whatever is happening- it's just the way we're wired. I actually shared some of my favorite sweetheart songs a few years ago, but there are so many awesome hidden talents waiting to be discovered in the iTunes Store right now that you can fill an entire CD for less than $10 with a quick search of love songs! Or, for those who keep putting off seeing those romantic dramas and romantic comedy flicks that your counterpart is always dropping hints about seeing together at the movie theaters, be proactive and make a movie night out of some serious romances that will make you fall in love with each other all over again. To save yourself some cash on both movies & music - check out your local library for a surprising selection of free new releases!

I used to have a French Lace Rose Bush. They are beautiful roses. My bush died for an unknown reason and I've moved since. But thanks for reminding me about this lovely hybrid. I may plant one next year. I love the delicate color. You really have a green thumb!
