I can't resist 75% off!

Pin It Now!

I went into a florist shop by my work the other day (Marlowe's In Milpitas for you locals) and all their Christmas and home decor items were 75% off! I bought these cherubs which are about a foot long. The were originally $16.50 each so 75% off that is a steal, a deal, almost free or whatever I need to tell myself to justify it! haha!
I've had them hanging from my chandelier all week but I guess I should take them down, Christmas is over. They can't really pass for cupids without an arrow, can they?
I also bought a cloche on a pedestal dish at 75% off. I'll have to show you that next week because my photos of that didn't turn out so well!

I'm thinking about hosting the February Centerpiece Party next Thursday, Feb. 12th. So if you would like to share a February or Valentine's Day centerpiece you can join in. I'll put a Mr. Linky post up on Wednesday evening! I need to work on my centerpiece this weekend! I still have no clue what I'm going to do!

I added some Toile Hearts to my esty shop! If you order them this weekend, I'll ship them on Monday via priority mail so you should have them before Valentine's Day!

Hi Cindy. I think the cherubs are just fine for Valentine's Day. You have to have a little music with those arrows, right? ;-)

Love your toile hearts, and how fun that you now have an Etsy shop!

Looking forward to the Centerpiece Party next week!

BTW, love the cherubs!

Anonymous said...

I think they look Valentine-y. :) Great deal, nonetheless!

Anonymous said...

Please please know that the only reason you're selling these tassells and hearts is because of your blogspot. Noone could possible want those for anything.

Cindy said...

Anonymous: That makes no sense! Then why would they buy them?

I make and sell things that I would buy myself!

I have even bought a tassel from another blogger in the past!

I think the cherubs are perfect for Valentines Day! Why not! And love the 75%.....how could you not!

I have some similar to those...mine are silver and gold. I never thought of using them for Valentine's Day. What a neat idea!

Oh! and is it too late to join the Centerpiece Party next week? Let me know, please.

Have a great day! Lisa

Cindy, what a comment from that poor person who objected to your tassels and hearts! They are all so beautiful. You've been given talents to share and you certainly give all of us the gifts of your creativity each day. Thank you so much for your caring heart.
*LOVE the little cherubs! What a deal...and I'd certainly use them for Valentine's Day!

Charlene said...

Put some hearts up there with the cherubs & you have it made until after the 14th. Another week to enjoy your steal of a deal. Lucky girl!

Aonymous was deliberately being rude just to make a fuss. If they were a decent person then they would have had the guts to leave their name and not 'anonymous'. Nuff said... Love your work and anything handmade is a treasure!
Irene :)

Cindy said...

Thank you Irene and Lana, I don't know why I let people like that get to me. I should just ignore them!

Anonymous said...

Hello Cindy,

what a stupid comment from "anonymous"! Everything you do and make is beautifull.

I will send you a photo of some heart my best friend make for Valentine. They are just to beautifull. How can I send you some photo's. I know for sure that you will like the heart very much.

Bey, Sylvia

Hi Cindy! I love the cherubs and thought for sure they were Valentine's decorations! They're good size for that price and I'm wondering if you're going to paint them white? I like them the way they are, but I couldn't help imagining them in white too:)
I was shocked by the unnecessary rude comment ~ but don't let it ruin your positive energy flow ~ great things are happening to you and will continue to come your way!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Cindy! I'm so glad you are feeling better...its such a miserable feeling to realize that you are coming down with a cold, isn't it? And as for the cherubs...honestly, I think they can still easily pass for Valentine's Day, with or without the bow and arrow. :-) I'm so looking forward to Centerpiece Day...hope I can come up with something pretty so I can join you and all of the other creative decorators!

Cindy it would be nice if you took a longer distance shot of them on the chandelier so we could get a better idea of how they look.

Oh, and they look pretty at any distance and your tassels are wonderful and people buy them because they look so beautiful on doors and cabinets, etc.

C,
I guess there are just whacked people floating around with nothing better to do than leave ballsy comments anonymously .. the "A" word says it all...not even enough guts to leave their name ... you can track them you know with the feedjit live feed ... anyway, why am I wasting MY time with this issue... YOU are one inspired woman ... we are coming to your resuce, and our (my) day might be coming soon too, who knows.
I have been seeing more of these awful comments, though ... maybe there's an epidemic. Cote de Texas got hit really hard a few weeks ago, oh my. The "A" person went on and on for a few days.

Tell me more about etsy please.

Thanks for joining in my first giveaway...stay tuned...the drawing is open til Feb 11.

hugs

Like your cherubs, and am anxious to see what you do with them. I have 3 large ones that I have had for years. Bought them at 75% off also and have not used them at Christmas the last couple of years. They are that antiqued gold, but keep thinking I could redo them. I will be watching!.:-)

Oh, man, you got the deal of the century. Looking forward to seeing the centerpieces.

Brenda@CoffeeTeaBooks said...

I used to shop the after Christmas sales for beautiful Christmas decorations (I have more than I need now!).

I would put them all in a box and then when I opened them at Christmas, it was like a thrifty Christmas present to myself. :)

I do still purchase vintage Christmas bulbs if I see them at a thrift shop as well as vintage decorations.

I think your latest finds would look beautiful all year long.
