January Centerpiece

Pin It Now!

I am constantly changing the centerpiece on my dining room table! It usually happens as I'm cleaning house and I get distracted and the next thing I know I'm no longer cleaning house and I'm playing house! I prefer decorating over cleaning, that's what it comes down to!

January just seems like it should be white, silver and crystal to me so that's what I did! My $10 flea market silver tray is filled with crystal candle sticks with white candles, mercury glass and white silk hydrangeas.

I think I'll work on just changing my centerpiece once a month. Maybe we should have a monthly centerpiece party and I'll put up a Mr. Linky so we can all join in! Does that sound like something you would like to see or be a part of? It would be a great way to get new ideas!

I would love to see monthly centerpieces... I always struggle with finding something low enough that doesn't obstruct the view from one side of the table to the other when we are actually having a meal. I like your collection of candles.

Your centerpiece is gorgeous. It would be fun to see everyone's centerpieces on a monthly basis-great idea.

It is beautiful. And January does seem to be those colors, doesn't it? Yes, I think I could handle a centerpiece. But I'm all thumbs for those table setting things bloggers participate in. Never really fixed up a table for folks. Just put a plate and utensils in front of them, I guess. Must have been born in a barn.

Yes....would love that, as long as it's not weekly .

Us working Mommies can't quite keep up with that :)

So far I'm impressed with myself if I change my centerpiece 4 times a year with the seasons LOL ! That would be amazing if I did it monthly!

Cindy, My husband would always say what the heck are you doing, after I would clean and then start playing house. I have always used that term, and its kinda a funny coming from you too. I also use it when I'm figuring out what I'm going to wear, putting outfits together as well. Your my kinda girl!

No. I would definetly like to see more than your redundant dining area. If I had a blog with a picture, I would probably say yes also, just to get more hits on my page but since I don't, I'll be perfectly honest.

Are you running out of blog ideas, cindy?

I change my centerpieces as well -- both on my dining room and breakfast room tables as well as the coffee tables -- keeps ones room from looking too stale.

Great centerpiece and love the white and silver after the red and green of Christmas.

It's amazing how often my attempts to clean or organize turn in to creative projects. I'm getting ready for Mary Ashley's birthday party Saturday, and I spent so many hours cleaning yesterday that I'm looking forward to doing more of the fun party stuff today. That will be good for my back as well as my mood! :)

Your centerpiece looks so pretty, and I like the idea of a linky party. I discoverd during your end-of-year linky party that you run with a creative group of ladies!

That is such a great idea! I still have my Christmas centerpiece on my table! I need help! I love your centerpiece with the silver tray and crystal. Also, I love your new banner.

I'm thinking about painting my son's room when he goes off to college. Because of you and all of your blue...I'm leaning towards that! I went and got paint samples yesterday. I don't have anything else blue in my house, except for my little boy's room. (He always has to have blue!) All of your blue looks so relaxing! I think that would be perfect for a guest room!

I love your January Centerpiece. What a great idea for a drab month.

Joyce's Journey said...

Love that idea!!! I'm always changing out my dining room table. My only problem is that I do not have an eat-in kitchen, so I don't like my centerpiece too fancy because then it's a pain to move each night for dinner. But I still dress it up as much as possible. This would be fun, should you decide to host. I'm in!!
