I've shown you my old screen door before that I have in my bedroom but it's been awhile and I'm not sure if I had the lace behind it last time I posted pictures of it. The lace, which is a tablecloth, was crocheted by my mom when she was 15 years old.

This screen door is, without a doubt, one of my most favorite things about your pretty bedroom--so clever and you have it decorated so beautifully. I would love to find a treasure like that!
Your new table came out spectacular too! The decision to shabby it up with the glaze was a good one--it really made the pretty carving stand out.
It is a perfect work of art. You're awesome.
Hi Cindy,
Love the screen door. The platter on the door is my china pattern from my mother--Florence pattern from Pope Gosser. I love the delicate roses. I just bought the gray boat two weeks ago. I enjoy reading and seeing pics on your blog. Penny in Missouri
I love your door so much. I have a large collection of vintage linen and lace and am always looking for some way to display it and get it out of boxes so I can enjoy it. Thanks for the idea. You and your home (and blog) are truly inspirational... Sue
Cindy, this is absolutely GORGEOUS!! What a special piece to add such interest to the room! Of course, you've made it much more than a door ~ you've given it your special touch, great idea, Cindy....and I love the table you painted too! xxoo, Dawn
Very lovely. Wonderful idea to make this a piece of art, and what a treasure it is:-)
Have a wonderful day!!!
This old door is so romanitc and charming. I love the way you have it sitting in the corner all dressed in pretties. Old doors and windows are a fav of mine.
I love the straw hat hanging on it too!
The door looks fabulous. Love the lace behind it. How pretty all of your goodies look habging on it. Love those hearts.

Hi Cindy,
I love that screen door. What a beautiful heirloom that you have of your mother's. I can't believe she made that at 15! I wish girls today had the interest in that kind of stuff like our moms did. She certainly was a talented young lady.
I love this and enjoyed seeing it again, especially with the beautiful lace that your mother made as a young lady! How special is that?! :)
OMG... I have a screen just like that, but after years of 4 boys in and out... I am ready for a new one... However, I never would have thought to use it inside as decor! Thank you for the inspiration!
That is such a great display area. The hearts you made are equally wonderful and all the more special because you made them ;-) Rosie

This is so clever and creative in one big swoop! Bravo!
Oh Cindy, that is so beautiful! I think every single bit of your house is magazine-worthy! Ooh, that reminds me, has Romantic Country come out yet? I have to remember to get one!

Wow, your mom did an awesome job on that piece! I just love your screen door and it's on my list of "must haves" -- your hearts are darling too.

Mary, no the magazine isn't out yet. Believe me, you'll be hearing about it on my blog as soon as it does! I think it comes out mid-to-late March.
Great and pretty idea Cindy.

I love the whole idea of the door, but the story behind the tablecloth that your mother crocheted is just precious!
I love the old door Cindy! But even more is that I love that you used your Mother's hand crocheted lace tablecloth! That makes it even more special! Your hearts are adorable and I love the way you added all the pretties to the door! Beautiful!

Now this is the way to decorate a corner--how do you get EVERYTHING to look so classy!?
Hi Cindy. I just love seeing shabby-chic in blue! On the door, I love the combination of the button-covered heart pillow and the oval plate. Beautiful!
Thanks again for all your advice today. I've added your link under my favorites on my blog. :-)

Oh My Goodness, to think that your mom crocheted that when she was only 15. That is unbelievable. What a treasure! Please tell her that I'm incredibly impressed.
Love your screen door! Great way to fill a corner with cottage decor that provides some storage and a sweet display of your favorite things. I have a corner in my bedroom that I have difficulty filling. I need a screen door, now!
Your Mom crocheted that fabulous lace.....WOW...what a wonderful way to enjoy it's beauty everyday....I just love seeing the different ways you display your treasures.

A wonderful piece to display all of your lovely pieces. I really like how you have the piece your mother made as a backdrop for those pieces you made. Very sweet!
