Welcome to Show and Tell Friday! This move to the new apartment has been a lot of work! I kept thinking I must be getting old because I'm usually all settled in within a week of moving! Then I remembered that the last time I moved (almost 11 years ago) I had a lot less stuff!
Honestly, since I started blogging in 2005 I have collected more stuff than ever!!! I think it's sort of "keeping of with the Jones" type of thing but in a good way! I used to see all these great things that bloggers were sharing and I wanted them too so I bought a lot in the last 11 years! Most of it was done on a budget through thrift stores, discount stores, flea markets, garage sales, etc. but it still added up to a lot of stuff!
The move to the new apartment has been an adjustment. I have a lot less storage here than I had in the last place. I started getting rid of some things before the move and then once I moved it all to the new apartment I realized I still needed to get rid of a lot of stuff, and I'm still getting rid of stuff! Our bedrooms are bigger than the last apartment but the living room, dining room and kitchen are smaller. I also had an outside storage area at the old apartment that I don't have here...but thankfully my friend has let me store all my Christmas décor in her garage!
Since I'm still putting the new place together and moving things around daily I'll share little spaces as I get them together. This is my vignette that I put together on my tall dresser in my bedroom. Beautiful jars filled with shells and dried hydrangeas...some of my favorite things! Oh, I'm going to miss my little garden with my roses and hydrangeas! At least I dried some to take with me! I may try to plant a hydrangea on my little patio in the new place. I know I won't be able to grow roses there because it faces North and is full shade but possibly hydrangeas in a planter will do well.
One of things we've been enjoying the most here is the amenities! We have really been enjoying the HUGE Jacuzzi! It's about the size of a small swimming pool and it's just outside our front door, past the pool! This is a shot from my iPhone on Tuesday evening taken while we were in the Jacuzzi! Directly in front of this you can see the basketball court and up there are also the tennis courts. We get free tennis lessons that I plan on taking soon! At times, we feel like we are on vacation not at home! This weekend it will be in the 70s and I'm looking forward to some time by the pool!
I'm looking forward to sharing more of my little apartment in San Jose, California with you...little it is...only 988 sq. feet but it's finally beginning to feel like home.

Well I know once you get all your treasures out and organized your new home will be drop dead gorgeous just like your last apartment.
Looks like you live in a wonderful building
Hi Cindy Glad to hear you are enjoying your new place despite the lack of storage. Thanks for hosting this party and giving bloggers a place to show their stuff. I am always amazed at how people will join your party and not bother to leave you a comment. Have a good weekend. ((hugs)) Rhondi
It looks great so far! What a perfect way to relax at the end of a day!!! Thanks for hosting a party so soon.
I'm sure it's a big adjustment after so many years in your old place but change is a good thing! I can't wait to see more of your new place:)
I moved to 900 square feet last year..from 2500 !! Big adjustment but I actually got rid of so much stuff that I have some empty drawers and a little extra closet space..Easy to clean and gives you extra time to enjoy those amenities...
Thanks for hosting!

thank you for hosting despite all the changes you're going through -- I love the way you've decorated the top of your dresser. such soothing colors.
Love the dried hydrangeas. They are so pretty against the white. Thanks for hosting another great party.
Good luck w/the rest of the unpacking! You probably live near me since I'm in SJ near Campbell, too : )
If you like Ramen, there's a great ramen restaurant in Mitsuwa Grocery Store on Saratoga called Santouka and another further north called Ramen Halu..yum!
I cannot wait to see your new apartment! I used to live in a 900 + sq. ft. house when I was newly married so it worked! I do
remember the challenges-storage and only 1 bathroom. I am thankful I have more room now that we have 3 sons still at home with us right now. They will all leave us eventually and we will have to move from our big house. I did enjoy decorating the first house we had and it was so easy to clean and everything had a place or we didn't have it. I live in Florida and I think the tennis lessons are such a sweet deal-enjoy!
Having educational organization, healthcare and shopping & convenience store in proximity, Supertech Eco Village 3 is getting huge response of the home-seekers
