Happy Thanksgiving - Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  At the  moment I am writing this post, it's the night before Thanksgiving!  Boy, do I love this time of year!  For me, it's the start of everything wonderful! I just love the holiday season!

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday. We should be thankful for all we have every day but the truth is most people aren't! I hope those people at least think about it on Thanksgiving!

I am so thankful for so many things! My family, my friends, my health, okay...I won't bore you because I could go on and on! Sure, there are many things I want, like my own home not a rental apartment but really my life is pretty good and I can't complain...I choose to be grateful for what I have!

I'm really grateful that I can find joy in little things like putting pumpkins under a cloche and enjoying it every time I walk by it!!!

I got some really good news this week that made me really thankful! I'm getting my laminate wood floors installed Dec 5th! It will take 3 days for the rip out and installation. This is going to delay my Christmas decorating a little but I am so grateful my landlord is finally having them put in!  I've lived here 9 1/2 years and my carpet is so bad, I really think this is going to be such a big difference!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving...and to those of you not in the U.S., I hope you have a good day too!

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones. You know, a church close to our hose had posted a phrase on the side of the road, that said: This Thanksgiving be thankful for the things you don't have.
Since I am dealing with Shingles for more than 5 months now, I was thinking, what a true phrase! We should be thankful for all the things God protected us from.
Cindy, thank you for keeping up your blog, for posting these beautiful pictures all year long and for all the positive thoughts, the optimism and the good taste your blog brings in our lives.

I don't see any Show and Tells. Is it just me?

It's not just you Ellie, I can't see it either.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Cindy! Your mini pumpkins are so cute. You must be so excited about your new floors! I just got great news that I'd be getting a new oven in our home! We rent and the oven is so ancient I'm afraid to use it. It's going to be a stainless steel one!

Sorry I guess I forgot to add the code for the links! I just did it! Had to do it on my iPhone because I don't have my computer with me.

Dear Cindy,
Just had to write and tell you how much I love your decorating style. The cloches, apothecary jar, bird cage, I love it all so much - just so fabulous!
I've loved your header picture for so long. If I hadn't read it, I'd never have known you lived in an apartment - it's certainly the most beautiful apartment I've ever seen. Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Me encanto tu decoración!!, también me gusta Navidad porque uno adorna las casas, no deberíamos esperar las fiestas para hacerlo, deberíamos hacerlo siempre y disfrutar las cosas sencillas y bellas!! Besos

Isn't it nice to be able to enjoy simple things in life and be grateful for them? Your vignettes and beautiful decor make me smile! It's amazing what you do with your decor in your apartment. You make it look like you live in a mansion!

Oh, good for you! That's exciting about the wood laminate floors! I have carpet too, and it drives me nuts, and hardwoods are out of the budget. Your house looks so pretty, i love your style, and the cloches look wonderful with the little punkins!

Hi ---- This most likely will get lost amongst the comments on your recent post, but Miss Bloomers just sent me some fab photos you took of Filoli. Much appreciated and they're beautiful! My daughter and I were just there and when I told Sonia, she mentioned that you took some photos of the Estate and thought you lived up that way, so send me your blogsite.

I also checked out Tales from Carmel that you mentioned. We live in Pebble Beach and I'm always amazed at the number of people who live close by and or visit. Thanks for making a rainy, windy day much brighter!
