Welcome to Show and Tell Friday! Remember a few weeks ago I shared the photo below and told you that some wrens had built a nest in the cavity of the angel's head? Then on a really hot Saturday the babies flew away and we haven't seen them since. Well...I finally took the angel's head down and took out this oh-so-romantic nest! It took my breath away when I pulled it out!

They not only built their home in this romantic spot but their nest was truly beautiful! It had a white feather at the head of the nest! I know it wasn't one of their feathers because they were brown birds! Talk about feathering the nest!!!
It is now on display in My Romantic Home
I moved my living room around last weekend and I put the nest in silver bowl filled with shells and covered it with a cloche and it's now on top of this old dresser.

Love your wrens nest, we also had a family in a little decorative house, they were here last year and back this year. It is our enjoyment, listening to them and watching them. They are so busy, but never mess on anything. So quiet when they left. Love your room with the nest in it and the cloche.thank you for sharing

The birds nest is absolutely delightful, I love the soft downy feathers they have used in it. I hope that some of the eggs did actually hatch or did the fly away and leave it abandoned :(

Mind the mites Cindy...old nests can give you a terrible time.
Watch out for carpet beetle larvae who love old nests.
They don't just eat carpets..but anything natural.... silk, wool...
Apart from that they are lovely...yes.

Cindy I love your bird nest. Your birds were a little fancier
then mine. I have a wren in my urn right by the front door and they are getting big. Their nest is made from pine straw, oak sticks and I am not sure what else. Last year I had one on my back porch that used the horse hair from the horse next door. It is amazing at what they can do in such a short period of time. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

The Raw Pizza Extravaganza (non-dehydrated raw pizza) takes about 30 to 40 minutes to prepare but is well worth it! I have to tell you this pizza trumps any cooked pizza out there! This is what cooked pizza is TRYING to taste like!
