The Painted Furniture Party!

Pin It Now!

I never imagined when I did my tutorial on How to Paint Furniture four years ago that it would draw so many new visitors to my blog! It's been wonderful!

I know many of you have painted your own furniture using my instructions and I thought it would be fun to have a Painted Furniture Party to see them!  Even if you didn't use my tutorial you are welcome to join the party!  I know this will be a fun party! I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

If you still haven't painted furniture, please don't be intimidated! It's easy to do. Here is the link to my easy, step by step instructions:  How to Paint Furniture

I'm including just some of my things I've painted.  This chair above was a great project. You can see the before pic...just click here. It was really ugly but only $15!

The blue cabinet above is probably my favorite project! Click here to see the "before" photos and see how I did it!  I even painted that big birdcage!  I still can't believe I got that for only $25!  You can see what it used to look like here.

This headboard was free on Craigslist! You can see the "Before" photo of this on my Painting Furniture Tutorial.

In the photo above you can see my entertainment armoire that hides my TV and Stereo.  I bought that on Craigslist for about $200 and then painted it white!

I add floral appliques to most of my projects before I paint them. The one above is on my dining room chairs.
If you would like to join the party please add your link below.  Also, please mention on your post that you are participating in my Painted Furniture Party and feel free to grab the graphic above!

Thank you for hosting! Your dining table is the inspiration for the table I just posted. Too bad it has to find a new home, my house is not done in calm whites and cremes. My table is one I recently painted black!

Looks like every piece of furniture has your touch to it :) Must be so good to walk around in a house which is full of stuff that makes you feel proud of.
I have no Painted Furniture to link here but I am enjoying the entries. Thanks for hosting.

Hi Cindy! I love your blog and I don't know that I've told you that lately! Your bird cage collection is stunning! I love the two I see here in this post....esp. the large one! Any idea where I might find one myself that won't cost me a wing and a beak? lol

I loved your dining room, it has everything I love: painting white, blue floral and antique ware. Your home should be a beauty!

For we embarrassingly-uncrafty people out here, it's very inspiring to see your blog and possibly hope to tackle projects such as yours (I also enjoyed the link to what to do with vintage handkerchiefs, since I have tons from my grandmas and aunties and mom from c. 1920s-1950s; all so pretty, and very soft from lots of washing and ironing...some of my dearest, oldest relatives might still tuck a hankie in a birthday card when I was growing up in the early '60s, as that's what they'd probably done in the earlier times of their lives; so sweet). What I really love about seeing the photos of your beautiful home is how it gives hope to people, such as myself, who face the possibility of downsizing (due to kids leaving the nest, or from necessity due to the economic downturn...because if anybody thinks we're still not in a recession, think again); that, no matter where we might end up, be it a teeny home, a duplex, apartment, condo or a trailer, or even a rented room, we can still make it lovely, cozy and our own special sanctuary when the world outside seems a little too cold.
