Blueberry Peach Cobbler

Pin It Now!

Saturday night one of my supper clubs I belong to got together for summer themed dinner.  I made a Blueberry Peach Cobbler from the current issue of Cooking Light magazine! It was recommended by one of my blog readers, Karen, who I've actually met in person a few times while I've been out and about shopping!  This cobbler was really good and they have the recipe printed on their website. Click here to see it. Thank you Karen for the recommendation!
At our dinner, my friend Andrea told me that she just bought a new house and she had just met the previous owner and they were talking about decorating and she (the previous owner) told her about a blog she reads....It was MY blog! What a small world!  Andrea told her she was in a supper club with me and come to find out...I had actually met the previous owner once at the Sacramento Antique Faire!  What  a small world!  It probably wouldn't be so weird if we lived in a small town but this is the San Francisco Bay Area with millions of people! I'm still shocked!

When a blog is pretty, stylish, different...these things happen! haha

Cindy I am jumping with joy. I just
picked 3 gal. of blueberries at my
son's house and made 23 pints of
jelly. I saved about 1 gal. to make
blueberry muffins,but I like the
way that cobbler looks. I love peaches so does hubby so I am going
to try this. That would be with ice
cream too. Can't have it without that.
Your small world story was interesting. Isn't it funny how
sometimes things work out like that. Kinda like it was meant to be. Wish we had a supper club here
so I would not have to eat my own
cooking all the time. ":O)

Your cobbler looks so yummy I can almost smell it! I'm a bay area native. Born in San Francisco, grew up in Burlingame. We lived in San Jose for 24 years until we moved here to Roseville. It's sooo much hotter here!

Have a great week!

How sweet! I mean the story and the dessert. Oh my, that is so unfair to post a photo like that..I'm on a diet! Sigh.. still it does look wonderful!

Isn't it funny how you find out about followers. I've had people mention that they had been following for months and they were friends I had known for years...yet I usually found out by accident. It's nice to know people enjoy your blog isn't it? I know that I do!

Silly me...I decided to make it this evening after my husband decided to put in a movie. Not paying attention to the time I proceeded to make this yummy concoction substituting apricots from my yard for the peaches. I put the dish in the oven, checked the time and it says 1 hour! HMMM. It's 11:00pm. Guess I'll be up a while. I will let you know how it tastes! Marcia

Looks yummy.

My best memory of a cobbler, was years ago, when we were little. Before we left my grandparents farm after a long vacation. We went down the road and picked wild blackberries. When we brought them back, my grandmother took them and made a blackberry cobbler from scratch and when we pulled out the next morning she had put it in a big mason jar, and send the bulk of it with us to eat when we decided to stop and eat. I have not eaten anything as good as that ever.
Cobblers with ice cream on a warm summer night.....THE BEST !!!!!

Ciao

You are just too cute, Cindy! I was telling my art journal teacher about your blog, and was worried that I'd get the actual name wrong since we were standing in the workshop, and someone else provided it. At that point, I realized, girl, you are almost famous. :D xoxo Happy 4th, my dear friend of forever.
