Pin It Now!
This weekend Lauren and I went to Whole Foods to get a few things. I'm on a nonfat Greek yogurt, honey and fresh blueberry kick right now and I had to stock up for the week! So, while we were walking by the meat counter we saw salmon, cilantro and garlic patties and Lauren and I both said Mmmmmm at the same time! They were formed into round patties but putting them on a regular hamburger bun just didn't seem like it would do them justice so I bought some sourdough rolls and reformed the patties to fit. I grilled them up last night and added some tarter sauce, tomato, purple onion and lettuce and served them on the toasted rolls and it was the most amazing sandwich I've had in a long time! It felt like we were eating at a restaurant by the beach. I get in such a rut sometimes....making the same things for dinner so it was nice to find something quick and easy and so good!

Oh Yum! That sounds delicious, I will have to make a run up to our Whole Foods, which is a good 20 mins away. I think my toddler would love that as much I would (minus the onions). The picture looks so appetizing I got hunger pangs just looking at it. :)
Even though I am not a tomato eater, I came up with a really stylish way to grow tomatos without those unsightly tomato cages. Will try to link it to this post.
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to do it, so here is the link to this post.

Oh my, not the right time to look at this, I am starving! Your salmon burgers, they are a must have!! Thanks for sharing!
Nancy
I am not a big Salmon eater, but I must admit, those do look good. I know what you mean about the rut thing, but with summer coming, anything grilled would be a nice change.
That does look good! You were right to change the bread. Great bread makes the sandwich great.
Cheers! Rita
I'm desperate...and it's your fault. I'm dying to have an Eden climbing rose bush. I haven't been able to find one anywhere until now. There's one on ebay and the bid is now over $140! I'm wondering if you've driven up the cost of the Eden rose :-) Any idea where I can buy one for a reasonable price?
I sure hope I haven't caused the price of Eden Climbers to rise! That is so funny! I think a lot of places are sold out of their bareroot roses but here are some online places and if they don't have them this year you may have to wait until next year.

Yummy! That looks and sounds wonderful, and I just had lunch. I'll have to check to see if there is a Whole Foods in the city where I'm relocating. That would be awesome! Right now I'm just thrilled there is a Trader Joes and Costco! ♥

Mmmm, that looks great! I love salmon, think I will let my self get inspired by you for tomorrows dinner - with fresh, Norwegian salmon:)
*Hugs*
I love me some salmon but have never had a salmon burger. I will have to check out our local Whole Foods to see if they have them. sounds yummy!
Cindy~ Being from the South we don't eat Salmon but yours looks
great. I'd certainly give it a
try. I know they say wild caught
is suppose to be better for you.
We don't have a Whole Foods or I
would go get some to try. Is it
a dark meat? :O)
Yum! I bet my family would love that!
Oh, I love salmon and that sandwich looks wonderful!!!
Marilyn (in Dallas)
Looks wonderful Cindy!!! Oh poo...now I am hungry again!
I don't even have to taste it ~ I can just tell by the picture that this would be the best tasting sandwich I've had in a long time:)

You've solved my dinner dilemma! That salmon sandwich looks fabulous and healthy! Off to Whole Foods I go. I'm on the same Greek non-fat yogurt, honey and blueberry kick myself. Thanks for sharing your tip for dinner.
What a wonderful idea. I love a good salmon sandwich.
Looks yummy! I LOVE nonfat Greek yogurt with honey and a bit of low fat granola. I get mine at Trader Joe's....
Oh my! That looks wonderful and I'm not even a fan of salmon! I might have to eat it this way!
Sounds Delicious! Costco has a pretty good Salmon burger as well, frozen though.
Salmon anything is my Fav! ~Cheers Kim
Cindy that sounds yummy!
I'll have to make that for hubby one of these days!

YUM!! I think I could eat salmon almost every day. It's awesome that Lauren will eat it with you - Abby is a fish hater, all they way. (Doesn't help that we just bought some sweet little fishies for our back yard pond, though.) Whenever we're eating salmon, I always think of your gorgeous table setting on your back patio with the sweet glass fish plates!
Cindy, these look and sound delicious. We love salmon, and I will look for these on my next visit to Whole Foods.
I wish you knew how good I feel whenever I visit your blog. It is like a going to the lake, the mountains, or beach after having a crazy hectic week in the city.
Thank you kindly!
Salmon burgers are perfect for me. I will choose them over those other meat burgers!
