Napa Valley Part 2

Pin It Now!

This is Part 2 of my day trip to Napa Valley. If you missed Part 1 just scroll down to yesterday's post.

After we left the Alpha Omega Winery we stopped at the V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena.  This is the most gorgeous place of all the wineries we visited!  My only regret is that we didn't do any wine tasting here. We arrived here at the end of the day and just stopped to look around but now we know to come here first next time!
I loved these vine covered buildings!

The wisteria is blooming all over Northern California right now and it is so pretty...

Beautiful blooming tulips and azaelas...

What a gorgeous place!

Let's go inside...

Look at all these amazing pastries...
This coconut cake was tempting me but I remained strong and just took a picture instead of buying it...

The inside is as beautiful as the outside...

A beautiful gift shop...

These little birds were so cute...

Their cheese display was unbelievable...

Mmmm fresh baked french bread...

We're going back to the wine country in June and we've already decided that we are going to have a picnic lunch at this winery!  I can hardly wait!!!  I prefer this over a fancy restaurant any day!

If you are ever in this area, V. Sattui Winery is a must-see!!!

I took over 200 photos on Saturday and I've edited them down quite a bit but I'm going to spread this out to the final Part 3 post tomorrow.

Cindy, I live in the Bay area too. I am thrilled with these photos and it makes me want to run right up there! Napa and the wine country are a favorite spot and my brother lives there so that makes it twice as nice! Thanks for sharing!

Cindy,

I completely agree. I would take a picnic at that winery over a restaurant meal every time. To be surrounded by blooming flowers, fountains, and all that gorgeous scenery..well, it's bliss!

I'd be happy with a glass of wine, some fresh baked bread, cheese ( of course, a pastry, too)and sitting beneath those trees.

Keep posting those pictures, Cindy!!

I've never been to Sattui winery before. It looks like a huge place with tons to see. Love their gift shop. I did a post on a little boutique winery with a cave. I love wineries with caves! Keep the pics coming. Love them!

V. Sattui is my favorite winery. Being a Bay Area girl - one Christmas my relatives were visting from Michigan. We actually had a picnic at Sattui the day after Christmas - it was just beautiful. I now live in the foothills and somehow forgot about the winery. Thanks for posting and bringing back delightful memories!

Cindy...this place (and your photos) take my breath away! How I wish I could visit..you are right...lunch here would be dinner any where else that I could think of.!

I've never seen a place that had such an incredible display of wines and cheeses.

And the vines are lovely..I wonder how long this winery has been there...

Lovely photos, Makes me want to travel there again. We were there in early 1980. If you have a chance and love quaint vineyards, there is one in the Sonoma Valley regon. Check out Glen Ellen vineyards. peacocks and dogs come to visit you. They plant roses in-between the vines, this help in a natural pesticide treatment. Thanks for a walk down memory lane.

I adore wisteria. They always remind me of a little town in Germany where all the buildings were covered in wisteria vines and you could smell the sweet scent all throughout the town.
I love the character of this vineyard. Thanks for sharing these photos!

This winery is THE PLACE to have a nice outdoor picnic. Ive often done that when I visited. I have one of those backpacks set up for wine tasting and picnics that I always brought with me. Then I would shop for yummies to have and find a nice spot outside, set up my table (tablecloth and all) and have a nice afternoon. This is my favorite place up there. You can hit a few wineries then go there and while away the rest of the day. Its bliss. :)
