Valentine's Day...coming soon!

Pin It Now!

I just love Valentine's Day and it's less than a month away! My favorite Valentine's Day was when I was about 10 years old. My dad came home from work with a big heart-shaped box of chocolates and a big bouquet of red roses. I assumed they were both for my mom but after he handed my mom the roses he turned to give me the HUGE box of chocolates! I could not believe they were for me!!! The funny thing is...my dad doesn't even remember this! I just remember feeling so special that day and it's one of those moments of my childhood that I can remember so vividly! Speaking about dad....he cut out some more wooden hearts for me. I have 4 more toile hearts that I just listed on etsy. You can find the link on my left side bar. If these sell out I'll be making more!

It's storming like crazy here! I'm not looking forward to driving to work in this!

What a sweet memory. Makes me wish I could turn back time and tell my hubby to do that for our daughter, so she could have a memory like that.

Your pictures in pink are lovely.

Such a sweet memory, Cindy. I love Valentine's day now that my kids are grown & I don't have to come up with ideas for 5 Valentine boxes for school, lol.

Love those pretty hearts, Cindy! Your dad is a gem! What a darling Valentine's memory.

I'm hating this weather too. I was in the bathroom when the lights went out (around 5:30am)! Of course, candles and flashlighs are downstairs! Pitch black! Got some bumps and bruises feeling my way around. ha! Thank goodness the power came back on after about 5 hrs. Did you lose any power?

Stay dry!

Bonjour Cindy,
What a special Dad you have, reminds me of mine sweet father - he always remembered his four girls as well as Mom on Valentine's Day. His wooden hearts are beautiful, love the toile!
Be careful driving in that storm, better keep that car top up:)

Cindy that is a wonderful memory.
Dad's sometimes don't realize that
they are making memories for their
little girls and little girls are
always closer to their dad's than
boys. You probably had him wrapped
around your little finger huh,I
know I did with my daddy or least
I would like to think so.LOL.Being the baby always helped.LOL. Your
hearts are beautiful and that mosaic is so pretty. Good job.:O)

Hi Cindy,
Oh everything looks so pretty and pink and feminine! I just love how you pull everything together so well. I love valentine's day too, but won't pull out the decorations for a few weeks at least!
Hope you got through the storm okay, we had no power today, but at least no trees are down on our property. They are dropping all over the place over here!!
Take care, stay warm and dry!
I'll link in on Friday, too.

Beautiful mosaic - so inspiring!! And toile heart - toile is my absolute favorite fabric. Can't get enough of it.

God bless your dad for helping you today and for the huge blessing he gave you when you were 10. Isn't it amazing how we might be making memories for someone at any given moment - good ones, or negative.

Have a Beautifully Blessed 2010...

That is SO sweet! Love that story.

My dad used to always give flowers to my sister & I on Valentine's day. He even had them delivered when we were in college. It was so wonderful to receive flowers, even when I didn't have a boyfriend.
