Last week when I met some friends for lunch I also spent some time walking around Los Gatos taking photos. If you missed my first post you can click here to see it.
Campbell, where I live is right next to Los Gatos so it's only about 10 minutes away from me. The shop above is called "The Maids' Quarters" and it's a beautiful shop with gorgeous linens and things...the prices are out of my budget though!
Walking down the street you can't help but notice all the beautiful flowers and the flowering kale. The colors are gorgeous!

So pretty!!!
I LOVE that tiered stand..do you remember how much it was? I think I might call them to ask if it is still available. My birthday is just a few days away. Maybe I'll take a road trip.

Hi Cindy,
I grew up in Santa Clara (near Sacramento now), so I know what a joy it is to shop in Los Gatos. This shop is new to me...what a reat place!
Love your blog & looking forward to seeing more!
Chris
And I grew up in Sunnyvale. I went to Homestead Highschool. I loved visiting Los Gatos. When I was in College I also lived in Campbell. I did a spread on it for my Photography class. We used to play in Santa Cruz, over the hill and then hit Los Gatos for dinner on the way back home. Thank you for this wonderful update. I cant wait to see the rest!
Thanks for this, Cindy! As I watch the snow and ice melt with our high of 29 degrees for today!
My kind of place ! I could go broke in there!! Thanks for sharing!
I loved that tiered stand. I saw one sorta like that at an antique show and it was pricey! Beyond my budget, but I want one! I'll keep looking for a bargain. Beautiful shops and flowers. Calif is amazing. I grew up in So Cal and graduated from High School there.
Cindy...I've been stopping by your blog now for eons. I love all of it~
Happy New Year!
How pretty and green everything looks, while its freezing and gray here on the NE....sigh..makes me long for spring already!!! Beautiful shops.
I love shops like that. There is a floral shop here that I love to go in. It is jam packed with so many beautiful, unusual things.I asked permission to take pictures and had planned on doing a post, but most of them did not turn out very good. I need to go back and see if I can salvage a few of the photos..
Thanks for sharing your shopping trip with us.
Just gorgeous. My trip to California in June can't get here fast enough for me!
Yikes, Cindy! I just came in from scraping snow and ice off my windshield to find all that greenery on your post! You make me long for spring...

Hi Cyndi, I love shopping in Los Gatos, I have actually been in this flower shop and it is full of inspiration and eye candy. Thank you for sharing it with us, I love virtual shopping. Hugs Kathysue
Cindy,
Thanks for taking me away to someplace green. I can just smell the earthy loveliness.
Janet
PS. Snow does not have a smell, lovely or otherwise, lol.
I sure love those ironwork tiered stands and iron baskets. Oh, how I yearn for the warm days of summer and my flower garden, which is currently under two feet of snow!
I know, this too shall pass!!
Hi Cindy,
That is my kind of shop! Thank you for taking us along.
Carolyn
Your blog is, for me, the best way to dream!! Sometimes, When I just want to relax, I open it and became inspired. I love beautiful things and where else can I go ?
Thank you very much for sharing your world...
Ah, now I really am dreaming of spring...but it's supposed to get COLD again tomorrow. Just 26 tomorrow, 11 on Thursday, and below zero both nights! I saw lots of kale in a post somewhere, and now I'm thinking I will have to have some next summer. I loved all the ferns and mosses out back. Thanks for sharing with us!! What a wonderful place to visit.
Hi Cindy... I love that shop too... I can just imagine owning that shop and getting to go to work there every day! Not bad.. Thanks for posting.... can't wait to see more...
~Rainey~
I love this place & have to visit everytime we're in Los Gatos. My red bike came from there - of course Steve had to carry it 2 blocks to the car after we bought it! ☺
What a pretty town and I think I would spend hours at the lovely little shop.
Looks like the weather was great. I am envious since we have snow and ice on the ground here!
Cindy,
I also love the maid's quarters but not REALLY shopped there...but a lot of dreaming takes place! Is natural creations in the old "bunches" spot? That space looks familiar not sure if I've been there or not...but will have to stop in. Looks amazing! BTW, we still need to do a photo walk...we keep talking about it...let's set a date! ≈desiree
Thank you for sharing your shopping excursion. Love all the beautiful colors of the courtyard garden - a nice break from the winter greys.
Wish I was shopping with you! I did love the color & that photo of the pink cabbage! Actually all of the flowers were beautiful. All of ours are looking a bit ruff due to such cold weather. Hope all my pansies come out OK. Thank you for sharing the warmth & flowers. Charlene
I would love to bring one of those fountains home. I really don't live that far away so maybe a trip in the near future. I did take a trip to a small community in central California and have just posted it to my blog if you would like to take a quick trip. Thanks for sharing.
Cindy... Thanks for the gorgeous photos. I am such a plant person and right now I so miss beautiful lush, colorful and fragrant plants and everything that goes with them... in the NW it is wet and cold now.......but Spring is on the way!
I browse your blog and was happy to see you in Romantic Homes Magazine. Lezlee
Nice post & nice blog. I love both.
Hi Cindy, I read and enjoy your blog everyday. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Question - do you ask permission to photograph? And do shop owners object?
Sue, 99% of the time I ask, I explain it's for my blog and it would be like free advertising for them. In this shop I asked the girl up front if it was okay and she said yes. As I was taking pictures another woman came up and said "Can I ask why you are taking photos?" She seemed mad at us. I explained what it was for and I also gave her my blog address. Most of the time people are fine with it but some aren't. From what I've heard, the shops that end up on my blog get a lot of new customers and even people calling in to order over the phone!
What a gorgeous shop! That would be hard to visit and not buy anything!
Beeeaaauuutiful fotoz! Especially loved the close-up of the ornamental kale, and then the fern (is that a maiden-hair fern?).
Had to chuckle though and keep my perspective. Won't see anything like those pics here for another 3-4 mos. anyway. Ooooooh, I am so grateful for the internet and bloggers like you!

What a wonderful shop. I would be in heaven there. It makes me excited for spring so we can start making pretty outdoors, too.
Thanks for sharing, Cindy.
Thanks for answering my question on getting permission to take photos. I have an antiques business and always give permission - with a smile. But a large quilting supply type store next door to me has a strict NO PHOTOS policy. And signs posted saying NO PHOTOS. I don't get it. . .
Wow, I forgot how great all the shops are in Los Gatos. I really have to take a trip down and pick up a few things. Bunches is still there, I love that shop and the owners were always so nice! Come by my blog for a little giveaway if you get a chance, Cindy. Happy Sunday!
I love garden shops like this.
Now I know where you live. I know where Campbell is. I grew up in Livermore and my Aunt lives in Alameda.
Now I live in a little farm town outside the Capitol City.
It's so funny I am so close to Los Gatos and have never been there thank you for opening my eyes to a city to visit nice and close.
