Holiday Home Tour Continued!

Pin It Now!

Since I've been showing a lot of close-ups of my Christmas decorating, I though today I would show an overall view of the living room /dining room...it's really only one big room.
It looks less decorated when you see the whole room vs. the close-ups. I'm hoping my landlord puts in the wood laminate floors next year! That will make such a difference! (that's my way of saying, please ignore my ugly brown carpet)
The view from my kitchen...
My Show and Tell Friday post will be up later tonight for those of you that want to join in! I'll put it up by 7pm Pacific Time so those of you on the east coast won't have to stay up too late!!! If you have your post up before that and don't want to stay up just send me an email and I can add your name to MckLinky when I get it up.

Hi Cindy,
Oh goody more photos of your lovely home! You will love to have laminate floors. We have wood floors in our foyer, hall and dining room. We put laminate in our kitchen a few years ago (I couldn't get the old builder's cheap linoleum floor clean anymore) and I love it. It is so easy to clean and comfortable to walk on. I'm so glad you did your china Christmas tree again this year. That is so pretty! Have a nice day.

Your house is lovely and so restuful looking. Thanks for sharing the overall view. I think a lot of us feel that way-we bring aout all the decorations and then step back and realize its all the tree and mantle or sideboard.

Your home is consistently lovely. It is amazing to me how you have transformed your cozy little apartment, inside and out. My fingers are crossed for the wood floor soon!

I think when you see it overall, Cindy, it looks like it's decorated just the right amount. I love that it's all open and it looks like you are just steps away to the outside.

Just beautiful! A lot of the blue should carry you through the winter. I posted photos of the cake I was decorating Saturday when I visited your blog and was inspired by your zebra-print tunic. I thought you might want to see how it turned out:

Today I'm making Christian's birthday cake. I don't guess you've got any inspiration for a Star Wars themed cake? This theme is definitely outside my tastes, but we will have fun honoring our little Jedi regardless!

Hi Cindy~ ~Your home looks so beautiful, as always! I love your crystal jars the way they sparkle. So pretty.

You know I rented for a few years and probably had yucky carpet the color of yours. My solution was to purchase 2 big oriental carpets and lay them over the carpet. I was amazed at the change in the rooms when the orientals were down. My wall to wall showed around the edges with the 9x12 orientals in the center of the rooms. The furniture anchored the rugs so they didn't move around. I really loved the look.

I love the overall view. Would you like some of our Michigan winter weather to go along with your Christmas decor?Don't feel bad, I don't have wooden floors (yet) either.

Beautiful! It truly is a Romantic Home!

So absolutely delightful. I really LOVE everything. I think I might have a couple favorites but it's hard to choose! The apothocary jars, the 3 tiers of ornaments on your table(and the stand...OH MY, I'd die for that), the itty bitty wreaths on the bird cage, YOUR TREE!

Cindy it is just lovely! One question....where did you find that small wood hutch near your back door??? I SO need something like that for my dining room. I only have a buffet table in there with the dining table. XO, Steph.
