Cherished Gifts!!!

Pin It Now!

Last year I won a giveaway on on Crystal's ~ Fairiebees blog and each month this year I received a handmade tatted lace snowflake. It was so exciting to take them all out and put them on my dining room Christmas tree! Aren't they gorgeous! I can't even imagine how much work goes into making one of these!!! I will always cherish them! She ended up making these for everyone that entered her giveaway!! Thank you so much Crystal! (if you click on these photos to enlarge them you can see more detail, it's just amazing)
The gifts below came from Tracey Connolly. These are breathtaking...these photos do not do them justice. Who knew a glittered key could look so good? Now I want to make some more of these! Thank you Tracey!
Can you believe there is more??? Yes! These beautiful glittered starfish ornaments are from "M" ~Tales from an OC Cottage. She also made the beautiful White Christmas garland I showed you in yesterday's post.
Also in the package was this cute little glittered blue bird below and she also sent a cute little chain made out of sheet music but my photo didn't turn out but you can see it on her blog here. Thank you "M".
I LOVE glitter now but I have to admit there was a time in my life when I was a neat-freak...okay I still am but not as much as I used to be...anyway back then, when Lauren was little I would not allow her to have any glitter in the house! People would give her art kits with glitter and I would throw them away!! I hated how it would get on everything! It drove me crazy!!! That's the good thing about getting older...the little things don't bug you as much anymore! Glitter is great, even if it ends up everywhere, including the dog!

What lovely cherished gifts you received. I consider your blog a gift each and every day I stop by for a visit. Here's a cute glitter story. My daughter and I decided to glitter pinecones one year to put in a basket. We used the spray glitter thinking it would be easy---well--me, my daughter and our house sparkled for weeks. Our poor cocker--she glittered for months. Two groomers later, I think it was sometime in July, the glitter was finally gone from her beautiful blond with red highlights coat. At least it was gold glitter and matched. Have a blessed Christmas and may all your dreams come true in 2010. Patty Ann

Merry Christmas Cindy to you and your family. I love your ornaments. So beautiful and so perfect for you. I come home everyday with glitter all over my hands, face, hair, etc. We sell glittered ornaments at work. I guess I will be sparkling on into January. At least until after all of the after Christmas sales and all of the ornaments are gone!

Hugs,
Lee Laurie

such beautiful gifts. I can see why you are so pleased with them. :O)

I like a tidy house, but I LOVE my little girl to have glitter. I have to brace myself, because you are right, it gets absolutely everywhere, but it makes her so happy. If she's happy, then I'm happy. She's three years old and I encourage her to make a mess!!!! Even if it takes me hours to clear it all up again.

Have a very merry Christmas
Sadie :o)

Cindy, it is all beautiful.

Your post really made me smile because I was thinking the very same thing about glitter just yesterday. I used to find it very annoying, and now I love all of the sparkle.

Cindy, love the tatted snowflakes. You're right they are time consuming but worth every minute when someone appreciates them.

I've been meaning to suggest to you that you put together a calendar of photos from you home to sell on Etsy. May I be the first to reserve one because I believe they would be an immediate sell out.

Hi Cindy,
The tatted snowflakes are so gorgeous. I am glad to know someone still does that. My great grandmother tatted baby shoes for me almost 58 yrs. ago, and I still have them. I just love them,
they are so sweet. I thought it was a lost art, so glad to see people are still doing it.
Have you seen all the glitter ornaments walmart had for
$1. each. They were truly beautiful as are the ones on your tree! I bought a few and love them.
Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas hon,
Nellie

What treasures! Tatting is hard, I've tried.

Your glittery ornaments are all lovely, but, of course, I'm partial to the starfish.

Merriest Christmas

Cindy~ I love your tattered ornaments. I crochet,I have
knitted,but when it came to
tatting,I never could get the
hang of it. Some day I'm going
to sit down and learn one way
or the other. I love the way
she put the buttons in with
the tatting. That is so unique.
All of your ornament gifts are
so pretty. And yep I was a lot
like you when it came to glitter.
But now I like it too,to a degree.
On the dog is o.k. but not in my
kitchen around food,that's where I
draw the line.LOL.. Its just so
darn pretty when the lights hit
it. ~~MERRY CHRISTMAS~~:O)>

What lovely little gifts! People are so sweet to give handmade gifts, there is nothing better. I know what you mean about being a neat freak and how getting older mellows you out. I am far more mellow... age has it's rewards, I guess. Your little home looks so lovely all dressed up for Christmas. Have a beautiful and blessed Christmas. Love and Hugs, Cindy S.

Merry Christmas, Cindy! Thank YOU for the wonderful gift of your blog that you give to me each and every day throughout the year. It's been a tough year for us, but coming to "your place" almost every morning has been a sincere treat. That you'd put so much work, daily, into sharing your talents is so greatly appreciated by me. May God bless you and your family in the coming year.
