White Wednesday

Pin It Now!

It's white Wednesday again! The sterling silver dish and the mother-of-pearl button and buckles were in the box that my mom sent me. My mom collected mother-of-pearl buttons and buckles. I think she was way ahead of her time! Now they are more popular than ever!

My dad bought this house at Walmart a few years ago. It's just a flat piece that was meant to be hung on the wall. My dad turned it into a planter by building 3 sides with a hole in the top.

These little white shoes were Vince's. I bought both my kids Stride Rite shoes when they started walking. So cute!

I have this wicker cart sitting at the bottom of my stairs. I have it holding some of my vintage linens. Looking at this photo makes me want to dig through it and look at all the pretties!

Please stop by Kathleen's blog~ Faded Charm to see other White Wednesday participants! She's also having a giveaway this week!!!

Wow I looked at that cart to buy,
but it was so priceee with the
shipping I backed out now I wish
I would have ordered it. Your mom
is a very smart woman and your dad
is a very smart man and the apple
doesn't fall far from the tree.
I love mother of pearl buttons, since I sew all the time
I have several that I just can't
"seam" to use,just display.

Cindy, I think I have those same buckles in one of my button jars. I vaguely remember a white velvet sash sliding through one of them.

It is more than white Wednesday.
It is nostalgic. What is it about pearl buttons, baby shoes, vinatage linens, that just grab your heart? Add Dad in the mix and you have a wonderful day to visit your blog.

I love the cart with the vintage linens in it! I've been looking for one of those for a while. And linens are a weakness of mine. Thanks for the great pictures, as always.

Pretty White Wednesday post! Love the market basket with the linens. Makes me want to come help you dig through them. Also read a few posts I missed this past week (crazy week) & LOVE the stuff Mom sent you. That salt shaker made me drool because I have a weakness for them. And loved the miss matched silverware. I have a tea cart that i would love to trade for something as wonderful as that candlelabra. You are a lucky girl. Is the Show & Tell posting time still midnight? I missed the last couple of weeks. HUGS!

Cindy - You just gave me a flashback with the picture of the Stride Rite shoes! When my daughter was learning to walk, my aunt would say she needs Stride Rite. I was a single mom-just divorced- and no way could afford them. Well my Aunt brought her by my work one evening (1978) and she had bought her a pair. She walked all over my office.
