Fall decorating from years past

Pin It Now!

I've been so busy I haven't had time to take photos for my blog so I went back into my archives and looked through my October 2007 and 2008 posts. I have to say that one of the great things about blogging is that I have pictures of all the decorating I've done in my apartment! I forgot that I did each of these things so it was great to see the pictures to refresh my memory!
The photo above is from 2007! The boots are old Victorian boots that look like they have hardly been worn. My mom bought them at a thrift store when I was little. My dad made the wooden crow with the cherry in it's mouth.

Oh how I love those boots! I've been wanting a pair forever, but the only ones I can find are at our antique malls and go for $85-$125/pr.! At those prices, I'll just keep dreaming and enjoying yours!

Cindy, so glad you shared these. Love the cloche over the vase - how charming. Sounds like crafting and decorating run in your family. :)

Love your decorating from the past. I am wondering if you have a way of organizing your pictures - I guess I sort of have a plan but still have difficulty locating pic sometimes. You seem so organized I just knew you would have a better way of it than me!

Love your silver pretties from your Mom! How sweet to send you little boxes now and again!

Dear Miss Cindy,

Thank you for sharing some of the old post photos. I have been a relatively new-comer... and haven't had the opportunity to visit a lot of your "older" posts and photos. However, I must say that I'm intrigued about your color scheme changes from then until the present. Very interesting.

I wanted to know how things are coming along with Lauren's room? Do you have any "tasty temptation" photos to whet the appetite? I am so looking forward to seeing the end product. Hope all is going well.

Hugs,
Penny Sue

Very timely post for me. I have been working at getting my home decorated for fall all day. Loved your boot and crow, but I don't have anything like those. I do have cloches though and loved the way you filled the footed bowl (can't think what they are called at the moment) and covered with a cloche. I'm off to find something similar. Have just the place for it. You always inspire me. Thanks

Cindy,
This is one picture I had not seen. It's beautiful as always. Love the boots with the pumpkins. Your dad makes such wonderful treasures. Makes me miss my dad even more when you show a treasure your dad made for you.

Blessings,

Hi Cindy, Love that boot! I sold a pair last year and have regretted it ever since. I won't let the next pair go :) Your Fall decorating is wonderful.

I finished my daughter's dresser. I added wooden appliques, glass knobs and white paint. It looks great! Thanks for the inspiration. FYI ~ I have before and after pics on my blog. Karen at Ciderantiques
