I finally started changing out the summery decor in my home for my fall and winter look. The seashells have been put away...which was so hard for me to do, and the pastel plates have been replaced with my blue and white transferware turkey dishes.

I know what you mean. In the UK its as if summer never really got going so to see it 'put away' hmmm. That said I love autumn/fall and the cosy dark nights..... anyway, like you say change is good!
You Fallness is lovely, Cindy!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh I love it when you do blue & white. You do it better than anybody I know. Love how you have added the spark of fall accents. I could stare at this for evah!
I know what you mean Cindy. The colors in my home definitely lean more toward white, blues and the summery 'beachy' look. I just can't bring myself to decorate with oranges & browns. I do nothing until after Thanksgiving, and then I bring out my Christmas decorations which are....hmmmm white & aqua! Even have a white tree with blown glass seashells, starfish, etc. Your house looks lovely though. No matter what you do, it always is gorgeous. Sue
I love those turkey dishes. Perfect for your blue and white Romantic Home.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Everything looks beautiful, Cindy!! I love your turkey platters and glass dish. Fall colors are hard with pastels, but your decor is fabulous!

I love how the orange looks against the white and blue. It is gorgeous!
I love the orange pops of color!
I like the fall weather and decorations, but I LOVE CHRISTMAS and all that it brings.
Your blue and white transfer ware is beautiful as is you hutch. I feel so at home when I visit.
See you in the am!

I know how you feel. My spring decor is my fav, but I do love the change.
Your fall decor is beautiful!
I agree, the cream is elegant, but change is good.
My heart skips a beat at the sight of all the blue and white!
Brenda
Beautiful as always :) Can't wait to see what you do for Christmas, I wasn't a blogger last year so I a really looking forward to it this year!!
Lou Cinda :)
I still LOVE your turkey dishes ~ I remember when you found them last Thanksgiving!
I'm with you ~ Chrismtas is my favorite time of year to decorate. I love the color on your hutch from the candy in the apothecary jar.
Oh Cindy, Your place looks wonderful. Do you feel like it is fall? Here in the great white North it has felt like fall for a month. I think it would be difficult to decorate for a cooler season when it is still so nice and warm. We don't have that problem here! LOL I love the silver tray chalk board stuck in there amongst the china and chrystal. Everything looks so beautiful! Hugs, Cindy S.
I love your turkey dishes. Welcome to Fall!!!
Changing for fall makes it even sweeter when you get to change back to your favorite look in spring. I wish I could keep Christmas all year!!
Everything looks so pretty. laurie
Hi, Cindy!
Silly question .... what is the "stuff" in the white tiered piece? Having a hard time identifying everything, but it looks WONDERFUL!
Hugs!
Betty:)
Sammy girl (Betty), it's just a mixture of stuff that came in a cellophane bag. It's like a potpourri type of thing. I'm not sure what some of the stuff is either. There are different types of pods in there and some other stuff.
I love your chalkboard tray Cindy...I need to make one and do what you do with yours!! love it..Linda ;)
Changing things around is like a free makeover! I love the blue and white dishes..and there's that tiered server I love :)
Hi Cindy,
Love your turkey dishes. The new decor looks great.
Love the turkey plates.... I haven't done any fall yet.... ohhh the shells are put away? ; - (
So glad you and Lauren are feeling better.... I can not believe you both had that swine flu..... how scary is that...
I LOVE your apothecary jar ..... so pretty..
Hugs
Linda
Me too, Cindy! The only thing that made me change to mellow autumn colors without kicking and screaming was our thirty degree temperature drop which made me feel like curling up with a good book and a cup of green tea while enjoying a warm fire. This summer was sooo wonderful that I hate to see it end.
Blue & white Christmas again? I hope? :)
It all looks so pretty! I especially like the turkey dish and the chalkboard.
Very nice Cindy,I love your turkey
dishes. I also remember when you
found them. I went to our store
here and of course they didn't
have any. I love the way your hutch and table look so "fallie"
if thats a word.:D
Looking good around there for Fall Cindy! I love to look at your place no matter what season!!

All of the orange looks so pretty against the white...such a nice contrast.
But you are right about Christmas. I'm sure that will knock our socks off!
It certainly is beautiful Cindy. Look over there!!!! You didn't see that, but I just helped myself to your candy jar.
I usually go from my regular decor right to Christmas decor, not because I don't like Fall, but because I'm just plain lazy.
But I love looking at yours.
Hugs,
June
I love blue and white dishes as well. I have a Currier & Ives dish set I bring out for Thanksgiving dinner. Don't you just love fall?
Sandra

Cindy...your home is so beautiful decked out for Fall. I love the pops of orange against the white...and I totally covet your beautiful server. I practically stalk that piece! LOL I love seeing how you change it through the holidays and seasons! :-)
Happy Fall...stay warm...it's chilly here this weekend!
Susan
Oh Cindy you make decorating pure eye candy. Everything looks so pretty here, as always..
Love to you,
Jo-Anne
I love your centerpiece...and that jar of candy pumpkins looks so good....
Your fall decor is so pretty! I know you have probably featured it before, but I love the silver platter chalkboard. Very clever and a good blend between traditional and modern decorating. I need to do that too!
I like all your vintage linen its so preety and your decorating look cosy and lovely
