I found an amazing shop! Actually they found me. Suzanne, the owner of "Move it Elsewhere" emailed me about her wonderful consignment shop and I am so happy she did! It's a very unique shop in that they sell things from senior citizens who are downsizing their homes. It's only open one weekend a month (Fri-Sun.) and I can hardly wait until next month! This shop is HUGE and I saw about a hundred different things I loved! Here's a look around (I should mention that all their prices are 50-65% off the sticker prices) ... I meant to go back and get this cherub plaque and I forgot all about it until I uploaded the photos. It's marked $35 but it was 50% off. Hopefully it will still be there next month!
They had a huge milk glass collection...
Love this...
I also LOVED this....
Lots of vintage dishes throughout the shop...
Lots of mirrors! There were more on the other side of this hallway too!
More beautifull vintage china...
They had a HUGE Scottie dog collection. This is just about 1/3 of it.
Pillows...
A huge Hummel collection...
This copper collection was so beautiful...
Let's go upstairs where everything is 65% off! I loved this area because it's like a big flea market up here. I bought 3 items and they all came from up here. You can click to enlarge the photos to see more detail...
If you live anywhere in Northern California, I highly recommend this shop! I know I'll be going every month to see what's new!!! You can find out when the next one will be held on their website www.moveitelsewhere.com
I'll share my great purchases I bought there next week. I really got an amazing deal on one of them! They also gave me a gift and it's sooo beautiful!

What a FABULOUS place! Wish I lived near there, I could get into lots of trouble. Have a good week! Victoria Lynn
Wow! I wish this was in Southern California and open every day. What a fabulous place! You are so lucky, girl!
Hugs, Susan
Again, WHY can't I live in CA?? That milk glass, the teacups ... I would go broke in that place! Thanks for sharing it!
OMG it looks like Heaven! I like all the stuff in the upstairs part. I really do want to live in CA just like Melanie said in the comment before me (:
Hugs~Kelly
What an ingenius idea! Sure cuts down on the time spent running from one antique shop to the next when it's all under one roof:)
Wish Michigan had something similar:(
They sure have everything organized and displayed nicely.
Karin
I don't remember how I got to your blog, but I'm sure glad I did! That store is awesome, too bad I'm thousands of miles away--well, maybe that's actually a good thing! I could spend hours in that store, especially that top bargin floor. You do a great job decorating your apt., it's beautiful. I'll check out your Etsy store.
What an amazing store. So many wonderful items. I couldn't help feeling a bit sad about the previous owners though.
My grandmother moved from her home into a "home" she got rid of alot of her "dust collectors" as she called them.
I managed to have a few pieces to remember her by.
Thank you for posting this amazing store. It's nice to know that things can be passed from person to another and continue to be loved.
FANTASTIC shop!
You are so lucky to live close to such a gem!
Monica.
What a great idea! Looks like a candy store to me!
Wow! This is awesome! I may just have to make a trip to San Jose which is about maybe a 2 hour or 2 1/2 hour drive for me. Thanks for the website info too.
Hi Cindy, I love your blog and your home is lovely. I wanted to let you know that you recently inspired me in the redecorating of my sewing room/office. I was very uncertain about a paint color I had chosen but then I found your blog and realized I might be able to work with it after all.
Thanks for sharing and inspiring :o)
Wow, what a fabulous place!! I want to go there too! I may have to make a trip out there to visit all these great places! I am going down to Fla. to meet Shari that I met here on your blog about 1 1/2 yrs ago! We were talking about e-bay stuff and I left my e-mail on your blog and she wrote to me! We have been talking regularly ever since! We plan to send you pictures too! I'm going in April.
opps forgot to leave my name in the last post.

What a wonderful store. It is nice to know these pieces are going to someone who will love them as well. I wish we had someplace like this close by. I would go for those scotties alone! Thanks for sharing. Pam
Fabulous shop!! I would certainly be there for that one weekend a month opening if I lived out your way! I see lots of great stuff!!
I might drive up there if my friend Daisy wants to come with me.
She hasn't called me yet. It means she hasn't read your post yet.
Daisy, let's go!!!
Oooh oooh, I'm in Fresno CA! I may just have to take a trip to San Jose to go to that store one of these days!! It looks like heaven!!
Okay, that milk glass collection had me drooling. And there's a picture down towards the bottom of the post where there's like a cool beachy looking piece, kind of like some sort of shell. I want that. And the candle stick behind it. And the white birds on that same shelf. HOld those for me!! :)
Wow, thanks for sharing!
OMG ! Wish I lived near there also. Makes me want to take a trip there just to go to this shop. I envy you having access to this great shop and the others you have shared in your blog. Thank you so much for sharing.
What a fabulous shop!
I could literally spend hours there! I loved the copper items and the sweet tea cart. Can you imagine it painted white?
WOW! Lucky you! I wish there was a place like that here in Houston/Conroe! This weekend a few of us gals are going to Warrenton/Roundtop for a huge antique gathering so I hope to find my own treasures! Don't forget to stop by my blog for a chance to win a gold framed mirror that you could paint white for your wall of mirrors! I used to have mine hung like yours in a past home but have decided to share them with blog friends as I don't have a place for them all anymore. hugs from nancy in Conroe, TX! lovestocreate.com
Wow! I love this shop-I could spend hours in there.
I love your new sofa and getting an extra slipcover
for it was a great idea.

Loving all of the milk glass....
Omigosh!!! Who cares about the economy - I'm pricing out airfare to California!!! I WISH!!!
O my gosh!!! I live in California, but on the south end. I found so many things I'd like to buy just from your pictures, specifically the tea cart. I wonder how much that one cost. Looking forward to seeing more posts about this place.
Lorna

I certainly saw some things I'd like to have. Looks like it might even be worth a drive to Northern California.
Thanks for the info.
What a wonderful place..and so reasonably priced.. felt a litte sad for the people that parted with their treasures to downsize :( but I think they might be happy to know that their treasures
would probably find loving homes. Marilyn
what an awesome shop!!!!!
What a great place! I think they should "move it HERE"!so I could shop there:>)
Oh My, I wish I lived near you. I love that shop!
Thanks for sharing
Elizabeth

My favorite of all is the cherub plaque.....better put a hold on it quick!!!!
Hugs Annabelle
What a awesome place to shop! It is set up so nicely. The owners did a great job. Have a fun time shopping. Looking forward to more posts about the items you bought at
"Move it Elsewhere".
Andrea
What a fun shop...wish I was in California to go! Have fun!
Oh my, you only bought 3 things!!!!! How on earth? Wish I lived closer. Just because you live in CA doesn't mean you're ANYWHERE NEAR something cool like this. Looks wonderful. You didn't show us what you went home with, did you?
Ok... the last time we talked you were out of space.. (tee-hee)
That shop makes my mouth water. Awesome!!
I also found this place a couple of months ago. It was a little overwhelming for me, didn't buy a thing! Now that I have "your eye" to show me what to look for, I'm so there next month. Maybe we could arrange to meet there; you could "hold my hand" and point me to the treasures... You clearly have a calling!!
That looks like a wonderful shop and I love that the seniors are benefiting from it. Seniors are having such a hard time in this economy.
I would go back again and again too.
What a great concept for a store; wish I lived near something like that now. (I was born right near there many decades ago.) I'd be happy to rescue some of those teacups from upstairs, and 65 % off you say?
Hi Cindy, I have been reading your blog as often as I can. I think you have been so blessed by the exposure you have gotten. Anyhow... I love the idea of the "Move It Elsewhere". That is such a cool idea, and a great way to help out a segment of society to unload "valuable" collectables. It's great. Why are they only open one weekend a month? That seems highly unlikely to be able to make enough profit (especially being a consignment based business) to pay rent, utilities, and insurance... let alone have $$ leftover to "spend". How on earth do they do it? Thank you so much for sharing such cool pics.
Hugs, Penny Sue
Oh My ! I would give my eye teeth to get into that shop !How lucky you are!
I always check your additional huge milk glass collection.. I love it all.. When I get to my new home, I'll surely collect some too..
i cannot wait for more posts and photos of your treasures:) lucky girl!
Cindy Thanks for sharing those fantastic photos... I love how they arrange the store by color palette so it doesn't look junked out and if you are looking for something specific you know where to look!
~Really Rainey
WOW! That place is amazing! Can't wait to see your new treasures. I can't believe you only bought 3 things :)
Hi Cindy! I'm Carmen, I'm italian and i read your blog very often. I love it. And I love your fabulous home!
Kiss
Carmen
You are kidding what an amazing store!if i got in there they would have to give me job because i couldn't leave wow!!
vicki
Oh, how pretty! I'd love to go there!
It seems that California has too many shops that i can't pass up. Now I'm thinking I need to come just for the Faire you told about a few posts back & hope that I can get it planned near when this jewel is open. Thanks for sharing. I leave to come out your way tomorrow.
Experiencing heart palpitations and sweaty palms...anyone else feel like this when exposed to beautiful china? Cheryl in California
Milkglass and china.... *sighs*
You know, one of the reasons I love your blog is that when you share these great places, it's not just a big tease...I can actually go!
I'm in Santa Rosa, and I'm thinking two hours in the car might be worth it. I want those scotty dogs!
Thank you for the link... I am for sure going to go the next time they are open. They have some great items.
Natasha
Yikes, I'm glad that's not near MOI. lots and lots of great things. I may have to start praying over your wallet, since you DO live near there.:)
Lidy
That store looks amazing. I love that milk glass collection.
That is a fabulous idea for a shop! I could spend days just looking through all those teacups and plates!
I sure wish I live in No California so I could go to that store!
Going to a place like could become addictive! What a great place!~Patti
How I wish I could visit that store. I hope it gives the elderly a good feeling to know that their items are going to be loved and treasured by another generation. I think I would be happy about that, or rather, will be some day. You have a lovely blog and your posts are quite interesting to read.
What a beautiful and fortunate find. You don't mind paying the price when you know it is help someone move onto a new life style and that you are giving their treasures a new life too.
That's one of those stores you can't just run in on your lunch hour and shop. It would take awhile to look at everything. It's probably a good thing I don't live in No.Calif. I would be broke. lol.
Ginger
You certainly gave us a plenty to see from this store. Enjoyed it all- My favorite is the cherub plaque. If I was there I would try to beat ya to it..
What an awesome store-and what a great idea for a shop!! The milk glass collection was amazing!!
If I ever ended up in that discount room with all those tea cups I feel certain I'd never come back out! What a tremendous place! Too bad it's all the way across the country from me or I'd so be there. Lucky you!
