My Cloche Collection

Pin It Now!

Here's the new cloche I bought last week. I bought it at the same flower shop I bought the cherubs I showed you on Friday. This was also 75% off. It was originally $94.00 for the stand and the cloche...kind of pricey but with 75% off it was more in my budget! I would tell you how much I spent on it but that would involve me doing math and I avoid that if I can! Haha!

I guess I now have a collection since I have 3 of them! The other two are from Marshalls.
I always find it challenging to find just the right things to go under them. This time I stuck with a theme of nests and birds which I think ties them all together nicely.
Can you tell I like decorating with nests, birdcages, and eggs?

Very cute! I can't seem to find them anywhere near me. I did get one at a thrift store but it's tall and skinny and I can't think of what to put under it. I had a snowman for Christmas which looked good but now I have no ideas.

I like the bird and nests. I love to decorate with birds, cages and so on. They are cute and remind us that spring is coming.

Hugs,
Joanne

Hi Cindy:
That is a great price that you paid for it (if I did my math right, about $23). I have a hard time finding them too, but I managed to find a large one right before Christmas. I have some large seashells in it now, but I think the bird nest is a great idea to try.

Grain and feed stores as well as nurseries offer a great, reasonably priced selection of cloches, but 75% off? Wow, that's a great deal :)
Whether in the kitchen, garden or as decor, they always look beautiful.

They're beautiful! I like the different shapes of them. I bought one cloche at Pier 1 last month and a little baby one at Home Goods a couple of weeks ago. They're hard to find! I still haven't decided on something to put under the little one yet. It was on clearance for $4! Such a deal, huh? ☺

Love your cloches! I have just started collecting them. I got two for Christmas and was thrilled! Like Joanne I have the tall, skinny ones. Under one I put a silver/white string of "pearls" that were actually garland for a Christmas tree and I really like it. Looks kind of wintery! Under the tallest one I put a fall garland that has lights strung thru it and put it on a timer so the tiny lights come on in the evenings. I especially like that one! Since both garlands are fairly long they help to fill up the height of the taller cloches. I'm hoping to find some the size that you have. Sometimes you can find them on eBay. Can't wait to see all of the ideas you have for yours.

I love your style. I only have one cloche which I use at Christmas and Easter, I also like the bird nest theme, but I really like the fleur de lis idea and how you clustered several on the table. Very nice!

They look great! I need to get over to Marshall's to look for some this spring! How much were they from there? Just curious. Thanks for sharing! In the spring eggs, shells, even flowers, little figures, cupid with little red flowers and pink hearts you have made would look great for V-day! :)

I just love the cloches! I found one at Ross on a stand and left it in the basket! When I realized what I had done, I went back to the store, and people probably thought I was nuts looking through their baskets! lol!! Sure enough, there was a woman pushing a basket with MY cloche in it. I asked her if she was buying it...she said she didin't even know it was in there, so I scooped it up! What a hoot!

I really like the way you have your birds under them.

Lovely on the coffee table! I struggle with what to put in them too. It always seems like less is better. Good job!

Now I've seen enough people with these that I seriously have to get me one or alter something into one, probably will be doing the latter because I haven't seen any around and no doubt if I do come across them will be pricy.I can then place my glided nest within. Yours are very lovely and a great price at that.

Hi Cindy,
These are perfect for you and your romantic home! I don't have one yet but I have been looking...

We did get some white bird houses in at the store yesterday that reminded me of you. I will have to wait until they go on sale before I get one. I love your home. I know that I've said that before. It seems so peaceful and romantic.

Hi Cindy, my first thought when I saw the subject of your post was, "Oh, no, she's going to make me want to go shopping!!!" Ha. Seriously, you know I'm a HUGE fan of your style, I really wish you'd write a book, or better yet, get your own show! I'm having trouble finding realistic looking eggs, can you tell me where you found yours?

ksarra said...

Now that I've scrolled through the comments, I see that others share my wish of your having your own show. Wouldn't it be great if there was something on that we were REALLY interested in? Where did all the great decorating shows go? My all time favorite was Kitty Bartholomew's, You're Home.

I love cloches! I have a collection of my own. Mostly found at Home Goods at a good price. Sometimes I don't put anything under them, I just love the way they play off the light in a room and add pizzazz and sparkle!
The are also very Romantic and Elegant.
I think I'll post a phot of my collection because you have inspired me. Love it!
