I made the mosaic above with other member's photos I've marked as my favorites on Flickr. I just love looking at all the beautiful things on Flickr. I think most of us love lusting over gorgeous things online and in magazines but I believe it's very important to take time to appreciate what we have! After I made the mosaic above I felt the need to make one with my photos to remind myself of what I have. I don't own my own home but I'm grateful I have a home. I have ugly cottage cheese ceilings that I hate but I'm grateful that above that ugly ceiling is a roof over my head. I'm very grateful for everything I have and very grateful for my wonderful family, my friends and you!
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful!
Have a good weekend!
Pretty, pretty photos!
Thats exactly how I've been feeling lately. I feel blessed to have what I do have. My little fixer up cottage with it's many issues. I will get to them 'one day at a time'. I'm having fun along the way.
Oh yeah, I have those yucky ceilings too in a couple of rooms. I had bead-board put on my dining room ceiling because it had that cheap ceiling tile up there. It was ugly! It looks a lot better now.
Your home is soooooo lovely. I'm sure the Lord will Bless you one day with your own home. In the meantime you are so honoring Him with how beautifully you take care of what He has provided. Hugs, Marty
lovely...these 2 different colours you used in your blog are both sweet!! have a nice weekend!!
Thanks for the pretty photos. It warms my heart on this cold windy morning.
Hey there now Missy! We love the cottage cheese ceilings...I have them myself and have grown to love them (sort of). I am thankful for the roof over my head as well. If it wasnt for the generous kindness of my close friends Lynn and SR, my daughters and myself would be renting who knows where. Left with no credit and having to sell quite a large home this last summer was nearly devastating. But with many prayers and alot of will power, the house sold and we were settled before school started again. I know there is a meaning to the ways things happen. We are much happier with our new lives. Lovely pictures-be very very proud of yourself and your beautiful home!! Love...Tiina...
Cindy,
I love both of the mosaics, but the one with your photos are really prettier than the flickr photos. You are truly blessed with talent, ability and skill. Not everyone can take a broken wore out piece of cast off furniture and make something wonderful out of it. It takes a woman of vision and creativity to do that. And you have that in abundance!Have a great weekend. I am really looking forward to seeing the lamp shape you created.

Oh, they are so pretty! I love that pretty pink teacup!
I haven't mastered Flickr yet. I was trying to do it a while back for the centepiece party.
I agree that it's so important to appreciate what we have. Once you do that, it seems like we are overflowing with blessings!
I believe if we keep the attitude you have displayed in this post, we will always be happy...happiness is a choice to accept and find the positive around us, just as you have done. Thank you for your wonderful, cheerful outlook!
Have a wonderful weekend yourself!
Lovely photos!!
a good reminder Cindy...i find that it is so easy for me to get caught up in the "i gotta have more" syndrome...especially when i see such pretty things. i too am grateful for the roof over my head and all that God has blessed me with.
I love a good mosaic! :) Yes, I feel very blessed, too -- especially in these hard times.
Have a great weekend, Cindy.
xoxo,
Mary
BTW, LOVE your bone dishes!
Cindy,
Your home truly is a tribute to your talents and hard work. We all have much to be grateful for, and we all need an occasional nudge for us to appreciate that fact!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Me, too! {same ceilings, and same gratefulness}
xo Lidy
You have a beautiful home Cindy!
So beautiful. Everything.

Beautiful beautiful mosaics! I just LOVE Flickr also and I spent way too much time trolling that site collecting favorites too :-)
I always tell myself the same thing, I'm THANKFUL for having a roof over my head. I think there is nothing wrong with renting. With home prices still crazy crazy high and such a shaky market, renting is a safe bet, for now.
Beautiful mosaics and beautiful
words.....Mimi
HAPPY FRIDAY FOR SURE!!
Beautiful photos ~ thanks!
Karin
Cindy, You're so right. I was thinking about all that on my walk this morning, just being able to breathe the fresh air and be thankful for it all.
Happy weekend!
~Tracie
Thank you for sharing some of your favorites in your mosaic. I even recognized a couple of them from when I have grazed through Flikr. Now I can spend time looking at all the pretties because I just can't resist. Have a good weekend.
You picked some fabulous inspiration!
Karla
Great post and I Love the pink mosaic!
That sure looks like Spring...I can't wait to see grass (in Michigan). And thanks for the subtle reminder that I need to look for wooden laundry clips.
Wow ....looking at your mosaics you have soooo much to be grateful for - just gorgeous ! And I love the take on gratitude.
.....and mosaics with pink roses in are my favourite !!

Beautiful, Cindy! Hope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful! I love both of the mosaic's. And you are so right about being thankful for what we have. It is so easy to get caught up in the "what I want" that we must remember what we HAVE! Thank you for that gentle reminder. Your home is beautiful because of the beauty of your spirit & your talent.
I love them both!
You have a great weekend too Cindy!
Rosemary
Very pretty, great job putting the mosaic together.
Such a beautiful post, I also love to look at gorgeous things, I hope your weekend is great.
What an upbeat post.
That is exactly how i feel about today... Happy Friday!
Wendy
YOu are so right, we all have so many blessings. YOur home is beautiful..
What a beautiful post! thank you, Cindy, for reminding me to remember my blessings and take time, always, to be grateful. Cass
PS Gorgeous collages, too!
Cindy.....There is no home on Flickr any more beautiful than yours!!!!
I was looking at your Flickr favorites and thinking you might be a closet pink lover!
I know it must be frustrating not to own your home but in this area (especially on our side of the valley) it's not worth it to buy a 50 year old house (with 50 year old wiring and pipes) for close to a million or over. You have made an apartment so beautiful with your eye and talent for decorating. You also have the added blessing of having someone else pay for the repairs that always come at the wrong time - like during Christmas or taxes!
Cindy - Another beautiful post!
GORGEOUS mosiacs!! How can I make one?? Blessings!
We all need to stop and remember our own blessings! Thanks for reminding me! God Bless! Lauralu
Love Mosaics... I always look forward to making them. Your's look bee u tee ful! ~Cheryl
That is on my goals for 2009. One mosaic per month...I'm failing terribly. I still have time for February... Have a great weekend. Oh we still need to do that photo walk! Maybe when spring is in full bloom? What do you think?
Both mosaics are lovely but I adore the one of your home. You certainly have much to be grateful for but you also have worked hard to achieve it. I should make a mosaic, its been quite a while since.....Thanks for sharing and inspiring
Hugs Annabelle
Sigh & Double Sigh on your mosaics!

Cindy, Your post and Your photos are beautiful! I love visiting Your blog. Thank You for all this lovely things:)
Have a nice weekend too,
Paulina, Poland
Lovely photos. I love the one with the two armoires and the dining table. Very beautiful.
Hi Cindy,
I know what you mean about hating your ceiling or other parts of your home. Just this week I discovered a terrible water leak that has apparently been going on for quite some time...this led to the discovery of massive quantities of mold. Right now 2 rooms in my house have been stripped down to the wall studs, ceilings removed and floors removed due to water damage and mold. At times it has been almost overwhelming. But, I keep telling myself that so many people would give anything to have my problems...with all the foreclosures right now, so many people no longer have homes to worry about. So...I'm thankful for my moldy litle house. Having a home is a blessing...and your home is beautiful! I love all the photos and creativity you share!
Have a good weekend!
Jenny
You have a beautiful home. I love your mosaic of pretty things that make you happy!
I look at my things and remember where I bought them or who gave them to me and I feel blessed!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Your blog is so warm and full of love and comfort. I soooo believe in being grateful for what we have. We are really struggling right now, but as you, we have shelter, love, utilities, love, minimum groceries, love and jobs. Did I mention love. Thanx for the beautiful time I spent enjoying your site.
great post cindy, love the mosaic and all the pics
your cheesy ceiling made me laugh out loud, you know it's true, someone left me a really nasty comment recently about my cottage and it was the time of the bushfires and I went over and over in my head about the cottage not being this and that and thought thank god I have roof over my head, even if it's not perfect!
have a happy weekend
Sarah
Your mosaic photos are always so heavenly, Cindy!
Brenda
I love both collages! I immediately noticed the Lady Carlysle tea cups. I love that pattern and was so excited to find a teapot, sugar and creamer at Sams a couple of years ago. I would love to find tea cups for a steal sometime!
Yes Cindy, I was just telling a few of my friends the other day when I sent them all your newspaper link of good news that if I have ever seen anyone content, it was YOU! That you were an awesome lady and very content in what you have and always making things very nice and pretty! I just LOVE what you've done with your home!!!
Great job!
Hi Cindy.. wanted to let you know that I meet Tina -Cherry Hill Cottage today at Laurie Anna's event. I posted photo's of all the wonderful things on my blog- it was amazing.. come on to Texas!

You may not own your house but you have definitely made it a home - so comfy and cozy and beautiful - and so you. Isn't it fun to take out the things we love and use them to make our space our own? Your photos are beautiful. Yes, you are blessed. I am too - thanks for the reminder of just how much. Hugs, Sharon

I sincerely home you get on HGTV for the show you want to...anyway you could scan your article in the Newspaper so I can print it out? I would love to put it on my inspiration board in my craft room.

Yes, it's so true we need to be grateful for what we have. Beautiful, beautiful mosaics!
ps. I gave you some Blue link love...you are undoubtedly the Queen of Romantic Blue!
Such very beautiful things. I can't wait to begin decorating for Spring. Anyway, I love the pinkish mosaic and also the one of your pictures.
Pretty. Pretty!!!!!
Elizabeth
Cindy,
Your amazing sense of style and can do sprit are truly admirable qualities. You lovely home proves you don’t have to be a Rockefeller to create a beautiful and comfortable lifestyle. Concerning the cottage cheese, if I had a choice I would rather have them on my ceilings then my thighs any day!
Your things are beautiful. You have great style.
I am also grateful for a roof over my head. We bought our home 3 years ago, and it has sat with nothing done to it. It looks like two college students live here. I also have cottage cheese ceilings. You inspired me to make my home my comfortable and special place. I just pulled out some paint swatches.....
Hi Cindy!
I love the mint julep vases. How tall is the one in your picture with the pink roses? Also, how many roses are in the vase? I love your pictures! I am buying bulk plastic silver mint julep vases and buying flowers from Sam's Club in bulk. I'm just wondering what your height is on the vase because it looks perfect!
