Lamp Love!

Pin It Now!

I'm so in love with this lamp from The Bella Cottage!  It's a vintage porcelain lamp that has been rewired.
Love this lampshade with creamy white paper roses!  Just gorgeous!
I love everything about it...the shape, the color, the roses.
This lamp just speaks to me.  It's out of my budget, but I can dream...

Julia at Hooked on Houses is having a "Hooked on Friday" party, please visit to see some other goodies

Just beautiful - and so right for your home. I would try and duplicate these, somehow, I know they won't be the same, but it would be a fun project!

super cute! DH would never go for Shabby Chic in our house--too girly. So I live vicariously through your blog :-)

Oooh...that's so pretty! Great find! Maybe you can find something similar one day? Or, it will go on sale? Here's to wishful thinking! :)

Your lamp love certainly qualifies for Julia's Hooked On Fridays. That lamp would be perfect in your home.

I'm not sure what I like more, the lamp or the shade! I wonder if you could make teeny coffee filter roses and glue them on a lampshade.

Dream Mom said...

Very pretty. I love the shade.

I found a vintage lamp for #4.99 at Goodwill after dropping off a donation. It is cream, with a curved base and raised roses (all tone on tone) with a cream drum shade with gold piping. It was so feminine, I had to have it. It had the manufacturer on the bottom and it turned out the lamp was from the fifties. I got very lucky.

Reading your blog has inspired me so much to start taking on some "pretty" projects for my own home.

Hi Cindy,
I really like the shade! I think you could duplicate it fairly easily. I particularly like the small roses. Have a good week end.

I totally love that lamp too Cindy. It is so romantic and elegant. I could picture that in your home for sure. You have very good taste! Amy :)

Hi Cindy,
As talented as you are you could make this lamp. Find a nice creamy base, and I know you could transform a regular shade into this one. It may not look exactly like it, but I know you could make it beautiful. I love your blog and read it everyday. Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas.

I love the lamp it's gorgeous and will definitely fit into your home. I have faith in you, just post a pic of your version when you make it, I know you will...

My friend and I ran by an antique store while we were at lunch, guess what I bought...a lamp! The shade is cream and the base is a light pink. I bought it thinking I could recover it. I come back and check my favorite blogs and I find your pic of the lamp...karma???

Cindy, I LOVE that lamp, it's beautiful. It would be a lamp that you would have, and love, for the rest of your life. Whatever it costs, worth every penny.

Holy Cow $390.- It sure is a beauty, though. Maybe it'll inspire us to glue together a vase to a base and glue pretty roses to a creamy white shade... You've already got the wiring part down :)
Thanks for sharing the website - I just love to browse and dream...

Have a great weekend,
Karin

Now thats a BEAUTY, just GORGEOUS! I'm sure if you look around a little bit, I bet you can find something similar with a reasonable price. I know things like that happens to me quite a bit.

That is a beautiful lamp. Shabby Chic has a large lamp that has a similar look on the bottom.

It would be out of reach for both of us. Time to search the thrift stores again......

I finally voted on HGTV for you! 17 degrees wish I was there..big snowstorm coming tonight and tomorrow.I was given a couple of gorgeous furniture pieces I am going to paint..probably not till spring..sigh..LOL Denise

Cindy, you are so creative, I know you can use this lamp as inspiration, and come up with something equally beautiful. The lampshade part should be easy, after all you already know how to make the paper roses (time consuming, but easy, right?) As for the lamp, even if you attached roses somehow, the white paint would unify the whole thing. Good luck!

I could see why you liked it :)

I too love the lamp, simple yet elegant, I want one too Cindy!! Mind you "want" not "need".

this lamp is too good to be true......I think this must be one of the kinds they have in Haeven...

Donna said...

Cindy - that is really pretty! If you have a Target store close to you, they have the prettiest reed diffusers that come with white ceramic vases embossed with white flowers. My daughter bought one that looks to me like a lily design, but they also had a gorgeous dimensional rose reed diffuser/vase that had the same type of 'look' as the lamp you posted. At our store, they were on an end cap near the candle aisle. Have a great week!!... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage

I don't know how much this lamp was because I couldn't find it on their web site, but I bought a pair of these for $25 (yes, $12.50 each) in Huntington, WV, in December. They just had plain shades, though. I love this shade!
