An Interview

Pin It Now!

Giorgina from Decor Medley recently interviewed me for her website.  Before I started blogging the only interviews I was lucky enough to get were job interviews!  It's such an honor that someone would want to interview me just because of my blog!  Isn't blogging great?  You can read the interview by clicking here. Thank you Giorgina!

Very nice for ya, chick. The only interviews I get lately are "how is your cholesterol doing" or "let's check your sugar" or some such nonsense like that, chick! *Sigh*....but come visit today and enjoy my random thought......bring a smile and tissues though.

Congratulations!!! I loved reading your interview. You have so many beautiful decorating ideas! Your home is adorable! You are such an inspiration to others. A lot of people think that if they live in an apartment that they can't decorate it like they want to. Years ago, when I lived in my apartment, I didn't want mine to look like all the others, so I put fabric on the walls with starch. It looks like wallpaper and it is easily removed when you move. My neighbors were fasinated at that idea. I also put up an old mantle and made a faux fireplace. I posted about that one time. I used a lot of mirrors too and they made the rooms look larger. I love the way that you have all of those different mirrors going up the stairs! I would love to do that one day! You have so many great ideas! I love reading your post everyday!

I just read the interview. Congratulations. You are so talented and deserve all of the kudos you get! I am always so inspired by your blog. I do not have the "white" decor, but I do love it. I am a red girl and like the country look. But so enjoy all of your posts. I also love the tutorials you post with the information on how to transform items to such beautiful pieces. Have a great day.

Congrats on the interview! I absolutely adore your wall of mirrors. It's something I always wanted to do but now that I own my own house, I don't know where to do it! Not to mention I don't have any cool mirrors like you!

What a nice interview. She did a great job. I especially loved reading about your father. What a cool job and a great way to be paid! I've always loved their furniture and it would be great to have a house full of it. I can see where you get your talent.

My father designed and built a home for us when I was young. He died when I was 13 and he was 46. He built the entire home himself and did nearly all of the plumbing, electrical, etc. And he did all of this on his "vacation" every summer until it was done. I have always loved homes or anything about homes since I was a child. I know I get that from him. Your story reminded me of those fond moments each summer and I thank you for the lovely memory today.

What an encouragement you are to all decorating wannabes at any budget level. You make me want to take furniture reupholstering at our local Joann's where they have a fantastic instructor...
