Heart-felt Gifts

Pin It Now!

I received a package earlier in the week from Mary (unfortunately, she doesn't have a blog). When I opened it up and saw this beautiful little platter my jaw dropped! It's so beautiful and I love platters. I don't have very many blue and white platters and I've wanted more.

Then I unwrapped the next item and saw this cute little cottage ornament. When I read the little tag she attached to it...well...I got all choked up! It says: "From my home to yours, I hope you get your dream cottage!" I just got all choked up again just typing this!!! This little Christmas ornament will be staying out all year long and the little tag will always be on it...even when (notice I said when & not if) I get my dream cottage, as a reminder that dreams do come true! Thank you Mary, you probably had no idea your gift would touch me the way it has!
The wonderful women I have met through this blog is the best thing about blogging!!!!

What a beautiful sweet gift.

How sweet, it's amazing the friendships you make and you have never met the person. But they are friends none the less, who are touched by your story and respond to it because they have either been there or are going through the same thing. Patty.

Dear Miss Cindy,

I got choked up just reading your blog today. It just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when someone does a simple, yet thoughtful self-less thing just "for you". The ornament was such a sweet idea.

I checked out the "foodie" blog. That looks like so much fun. I didn't have time to read too much of it... but I think it would be a great way to spend quality time with people we know and love. I'm thinking I might be interested in starting on here on my side of the planet.

God bless you and your sweet heart Cindy. You are truly blessed and it's so nice to be a "spectator" to your dreams coming true.

Hugs,
Penny Sue

Hi Cindy:
Isn't it fun to receive something in the mail like that? You may not have your own cottage (yet) but you are one lucky lady to have so many friends that care about you.

That is exactly what creative gifting is all about--thinking about the recipient and what "they" want! I love that gift...both the plate and the ornament. Bless her heart!

What a sweet woman to think of the perfect gifts for you! The platter is beautiful, but I know that cottage is what really touched your heart. I love your thought of writing when and not if as I totally believe if you put out positive vibes into the universe instead of negative ones, then your dream is more likely to come true. I hope yours comes true sooner rather than later!

How lucky you are to have such wonderful friends, but then to have them, you must be a wonderful friend. The plate was beautiful.

Dear Miss Cindy,

I tried to submit a comment to your foodie blog and after I typed the message, I got the error message that said that I was restricted from leaving a comment... that you had to be a "member of the group" to leave a message. So, I'm asking if you would be so kind as to forward my comment below to your group. I really enjoyed looking over the blog site. However, if you don't feel comfortable forwarding my comment, I totally understand.

Kind regards,
PS

Hi,

I'm Penny. I found you all through Cindy's blog. I truly enjoyed your latest blog entry about the tamale making party.

I had once been invited to a dinner club with my husband, but we didn't feel comfortable about the people who would be there. We declined the invite.

My curiosity was peeked when I read your blog. I am inspired to try to figure out a way to do something similar... not necessarily the tamale party, but just the idea of people getting together over food. Is your group a mix of male and female or is it all female? Just curious actually.

I've bookmarked your blog so I will be able to check in to see how much fun you all are having without me. (Smile)

Hi Cindy,
I visit here often but don't always take the time to leave a comment. What a sweet person she is to have sent this to you! And that little cottage...I know it just made your heart swell!
I had a fellow blog friend do something very sweet for me this week as well and it just moved me beyond words. I'll blog about it soon but I could really understand your feelings on this post!

I remember that Martha Stewart show.

I saw those same plates in brown at a TJMaxx when I was visiting my daughter in the 'city'. I did not get them, went back 2 weeks later and they were gone! I'd love to have them in red. They did have some pink transferware, but that does not match my Christmas things.

I will keep hunting!
