Candlestick Makeover

Pin It Now!

It finally feels like fall here! Last week it was in the high 80s and now it's raining and in the 60s...I'm so happy. It's finally time for candlelit evenings!

I painted my green garage sale candles white and I think they look so much better.
I was so happy to see that my cloche fits perfectly on this dish!
Here are what the candlesticks used to look like:
I saw this commercial on TV last night and I love it! I had to share it with you because it not only has a good message...it will make you smile...Guaranteed!!! And to the few of you out there reading this that I went to high school with, I still have my pom-poms so when I'm 70-something ...

Oh Cindy - I loved that commercial!

Your candle sticks look beautiful. If I had found them I would have had to paint them black to match my decor!

I love the way the cloche fits perfectly on that pedestal bowl. I'll have to try it. I thought that the candlesticks looked great when you first posted them but I do agree that they do look better painted white. Enjoy ~~ Happy Halloween! Joanne

Okay, that was the greatest commercial ever!! I suspect it's more regional to your locale as I've never seen it and to my knowledge, there aren't any Kaiser's around here... I LOVE your candlesticks painted white, and the cloche looks like it was made for that bowl! Happy fall to you in California!...Donna

Another beautiful and creative post to inspire me to think outside the box. You did an awesome job on these Cindy.

The candlesticks look 100% better. It takes a good eye to find something in a thrift store and be able to see in your mind how cute it will look after some fixing up, and you do fantastic with that.
Happy Halloween.

The candlesticks are awesome -- what a dramatic difference. You really should open an ebay shop...I would be buying stuff from you every week! The commercial was so sweet. Love the cloche. The first time I found your blog I went out and bought two glass canisters and a set of white bird salt and pepper shakers...have a feeling I'll be adding a cloche soon!
Happy Halloween!

Cindy, Well, the candlestick makeover is fabulous...just like everything else you do! Now, about that commercial....you have made THIS sixty-four year old smile today!!! And, for those of you who are young....please look forward to being "an old woman"....it's not bad and most of us feel much younger. My unasked for advice...find something you LOVE to do - it will keep you young at heart...therefore, a younger old woman! I loved the cheerleader..wasn't she a hoot!!! Take care. Pat

I love how the candlesticks turned out. So pretty and fits in with your decor. Love it! We got rain too. So nice to see the rain again. But currently we are in So Calif for a wedding and will go to Disneyland. It is still raining this morning I think. At least it is wet outside anyway.

Fantastic message in the video clip, life is fun and the more we have of it can only be more fun !

How lucky for you cloche to find it's perfect match and those candles sticks, well what doesn't look better with a quick kiss of vintage cream paint?

Thanks for sharing with us all.

Betsy, the cloche is from Marshalls. I bought it last year.

What a fabulous commercial - thanks for sharing it! It has one of those jingles that can run around in your head all day - and what a great mantra!
As always, love your transformations of late...everything looks great, but that little side table from a day or so ago really spoke to me. I seem to have a soft spot for unique little side tables. Weird, I know.

Your candlesticks are lovely. Reminds me I need to get around to re-doing mine someday.

Love that commercial! You're right, it sure made me smile.

Gosh, I haven't seen a Kaiser ad in so long. They don't have them out here, of course. I used to work there, ya' know. Longest year of my life. LOL I was an X-ray File Clerk at the Fontana site. X-rays are stored in the basement. That's the year I learned that I cannot survive without windows to the outside world. LOL
