Designing for Your Life

Pin It Now!

Kari & Kijsa asked bloggers earlier this week to share their favorite spots around their home. I'm just getting around to posting mine. (sorry these are old photos I've pulled off my computer to share again...yes, reruns!). This photo above was taken as I'm sitting in my favorite corner on my sofa where I like to relax with a glass of wine, smooth jazz playing in the background and a big stack of my favorite decorating magazines. It's one of my favorite ways to unwind! I also love to be out in my patio just tinkering around my little garden.
It's hard to pick a favorite spot in my home but I do love my nice comfy bed and I love waking up with the light streaming in the window and being surrounded in a cloud of blue and white.

I like reruns.

I like sitting in my chair with my computer and my girls all curled up on me and watching old movie and looking at decoration books, and drinking tea.

Ciao

I love the way you've decorated everything to suit your needs and likes.

That's exactly what I've been doing and will be doing for a bit longer. Did you see my re-do of our Bedroom/Bathroom? Check here: http://jt-jantom.blogspot.com/2008/09/inspiration-room-and-real-thing-our.html

Hello Cindy!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

How fun that your great grandfather was Swedish! That probably why you like white so much, hi hi.
I can't get enough of your home, it's so nice.
If I had your bedroom I would probably never get out of bed!!!
If you want to visit my Swedish blog , that is the one I'm writing from.
There is a translator you can use but I don't think it's very good.
Take care!
Bodil.

Hi Cindy,

I sent you an email on your yahoo account, but I didn't hear anything back. I suppose you are a pretty busy lady. Anyhow, I was so glad to find your blog in one of my Romantic Country magazines. I have been enjoying reading and checking out old posts over the past week or so.

I have started my own blog, but I'm a little slow at getting things in order. I want to feature my small business and life. Look forward to seeing more of your posts.

Hi Cindy
Nice pictures of your home. I have seen some of the before but its nice to see them again. They look so cozy. How nice that you have such a lovely litle garden too. Even it is decorated cozily.
I love sitting surrounded by decorating books, or crafting books..or cook books...and a nice cup of tea...

Enjoy

O-o-o-o-h-h-h Cindy - I love your decorating also!!! I especially love the patio, is it a covered over patio, or do you need to bring those soft and comfy things in all the time? I have always wondered about this?! It looks so inviting tho!

And now I have just spent the last several hours reading all the blogs from the people who have commented on this one blog alone - sooo interesting, and such neat people out there!

But since it is 1 AM now, better go - tomorrow morning is looming quickly!

But - huge from Michigan - Diane

Dear Cindy, I was reading your archives and noticed the one about the pillow case with the nasty yellow stain from ebay. If you will soak the linens in white vinegar over night and then launder as usual the stain should come out. Less damaging than bleach.(some stains need to soak longer to completely remove them. The yellow stain is from body oil. I have used this method for old linens (collect)and have had great success. vintagerosekate

I don't know whether to curse you or thank you for that Red Lobster biscuit recipe. I made them last night to go with some soup I made. I'm in denial as to how many I ate. OMG they were wonderful!
