My soon-to-be new home!

Pin It Now!

I just wanted to let you all know...I plan on winning HGTV's 2009 Dream Home Giveaway! It's like this home is just calling my name! I usually don't enter these Dream Home Giveaways but this one is in Northern California! ...in the wine country! I've always wanted to live up there! It would be a little too far to commute to work every day but I'll deal with that when I win it! Maybe a 2 hour commute each way wouldn't be too bad???? I'll have an extra bedroom so my blogging friends are welcome to come visit! We could go wine tasting and shopping together!

REALLY, I'M NOT JOKING! I'm going to win this! (maybe I've been watching "The Secret" a little too much??)

Click here if you want to see more of my future home!

Cindy, the year we moved here to Tyler, Texas was the year they built the HGTV dream home here on one of the lakes. A little over three years ago. Of course, as usually happens, they had to sell it recently to pay the taxes. I toured it though. I'll send my good and positive thoughts your way! Hope you do win it. I'm coming to visit! (Maybe I'll soak up some of that decorating karma you have.) Only been to California once years ago to take the kids to Disney Land (long, long ago!)

I'm delurking to say you have some competition on that house! I love Sonoma and that house is GORGEOUS.

I love your blog, by the way. I used to live in Campbell, but now I'm up in wine country...about half an hour from my new HGTV dream house! lol

Cindy, this house is incredible and it would be so awesome with your decorating touches added to it! I absolutely love the way the rooms are laid out too. Good luck! I truly hope you do win!

Cindy what is the name of the new HGTV show that your home will be on? Do you know when the show is on, and when YOUR episode will be on?

Steph said...

What do you mean YOUR new home? I think that is going to be MY new home! I love it! Too bad I'll only see hubby a few times a year, since he works on the East coast! ;)

well It's ok if you win, as long as we can come visit. Or maybe just have us over for tea and scones. I kinda wanted that house too, but if you win, it will be alright!
Good luck!

Hope you get your dream!
My daughter commutes 2 hours each way a day because she works in NYC and loves living at the shore.
But, it is not for everyone and she is very young. Harder as you get older.

Cindy, you are just too cute! I sooo know where you are coming from. HGTV built a home about an hrs. drive away from me in Tyler, TX on Lake Tyler, & I was going to win it! But alas, it didn't work out ~ and not because I didn't log on & try EVERY DAY!!

I'd love to see you win it & decorate it up!!!! BTW, you would have to give up your job ~ it would take a long time to decorate!! But how fun!!!

BIG TX HUGS,

OMG, it's in Sonoma. That's such a beautiful area. My husband went to school there.

With that kind of square footage, the rooms must be big.

Visualize yourself with the house and the income to go with it.

This house looks very similar to my grandparents 120 year old Victorian home in Athens, WV. Thing is, that house was haunted & I still have nightmares about that place. So I think I'll pass on trying to win this house. You are welcome to it! LOL

I hope to someday have a house like that too.

That looks like one I could live in! When they built the one here in Texas a few years ago, we toured it. It was a beautiful place, but really not that 'homey'. It seemed more like a vacation home.

If you don't win it, I hope you at least take the tour!

Sue said...

Can I book a room to come and stay with you when you get settled in your new house ;) I have no doubt that it will be yours, it is so you.
