Moving things around

Pin It Now!

Yesterday I was in the mood to move some things around. That tiered table used to be next to the sofa but it was too crowded over there since I bought the hutch so I moved it over to the other side of the room.
In it's place I put my small tray table. I even put the lemon drops in another jar. This jar came from Costco last December. It's so heavy!
A couple weeks ago, I moved my Christie Repasy painting (it's actually a canvas print, the originals are out of my budget!) from my bedroom to my dining room. I feel like I can really enjoy it more now that it's downstairs!
I don't know what it is about moving things around that makes me happy. I love how everything looks so fresh and clean with just a few changes!

We had fun selling at the flea market on Saturday. I made about $90. Most of my things were only $1-$2 each. My highest price item was a wine rack for $20. Lauren made about $70 just from cleaning out her closet! She was thrilled! The only thing I bought there was lunch! It was hot so I really wasn't in the mood to walk around much. It was fun just sitting in our booth and doing some people-watching.

Later this week I'm going to have a great giveaway so make sure you check back for that!

Well, you did a beautiful job moving stuff around! I too love the feeling it gives me (sort of a decorating "high", isn't it, Cindy?) from merely moving something to where I can look at it in another spot. Gives me a new appreciation for it somehow!

I love to move stuff around as well. Even though the objects are the same, you look at them a little differently.

I think you could pile all your things into the middle of the room or on top of each other and it still would look lovely.

You really do have such nice things! Everything goes together so well.

Would love to have seen what you you sold at the flea market. I bet if you list things here people would snatch them up so fast, just because they came from YOU.

Can't wait to see what your giveaway is.

Hugs,
Joanne

You have a beautiful room there, I love Costco, you never know what you will find. I got an aqua blue vase on clearance for $7, just in time for my bedroom/bathroom makeover...and it was the right color...love when that happens:)

The Flea market sounds like fun!

Ooooh, Cindy, my daughter said it's hot down there since we left. I'm needing some advice on my "remodeled wall" and putting stuff back up on the wall. Take a look TOMORROW after I've posted pix of the wall in its completion, sweetpea. I'll then have what my "tentative plans" are for it and how I should put it. I'm seriously needing advice!!! I'll have it painted by then also - (she says while furiously painting!!!).

Connie

I like the new look. Moving around stuff sure does revitalize a tired space. I was told it's good for the carpet too. Evens the "wear".
Glad you did well with your flea market and $90 is nothing to sneeze at :0). I'll check back to see what up for the week.

Cindy,
You do a great job! I put a lemon drop jar on a buffet in our family room after reading your post several months ago. Our family room is predominantly Blue and White. So it added just the perfect pop of color at just the right space.

I know what you mean about moving things around. It all looks new again.

Hey Cindy I thought the same thing!I'll just remove the veneer, which is already lifting, and I pulled some of it off . Everyone thinks I'm nuts but I think it has potential.

Cindy, I LOVE your blog! It is so inspiring. Ever since I moved from a 5 bedroom home on the golf course in Colorado to a two bedroom apartment in So. California in the IE (because of a job transfer for my husband) I have been uninspired.

Come spend a weekend with me and help me transform this place! LOL

Your blog has helped me realize I can still decorate my way, even if I live in an apartment.

Thanks, Cindy!

I'm impressed that Lauren was willing to get rid of things. My 14yo loves, loves new things, but hates parting with the old. Must tell her about how Lauren did. That may be her inspiration and motivation!

I love to people watch also! Such fun!!

As always you make everything so lovely!!
