Crazy for Shells!

Pin It Now!

I'm going shell-crazy this year! I cannot believe how inexpensive they are. It seems like they are the only thing that has come down in price! Has anyone else noticed this? Pottery Barn has their shells on sale now...30% off! Michaels also has some beautiful shells and sea glass. I bought the sea glass below at Michaels.
I found this jar below on the clearance shelf at Marshalls for $5.00. I knew it would be perfect for some sand and shells.
I finally took the stranger out of the frame and replaced it with a real family member. This is Lauen when she was a toddler. My mom and I put this big old hat on her and did a photo shoot.

Love it! Especially the sea glass, the colors are so pretty.
My sister is really into seashells too. I'll have to pass on the good news about the sale prices.

Lovely post as usual!

Hi Cindy! You made a beautiful display! We just got back from a beach vacation get-a-way and I came home with a pile of shells. You've inspired me to decorate with them, that is if I can find a bare surface anywhere in my home, LOL....Have a lovely day! xoxo ~ Joy

The jars with the sea glass and shells are wonderful! I really like the sand and then the sea shells. And, how do you manage to always come across these great bargains?! I have an apothacary jar that I should do this with. Thanks again for another great idea.

Having spent most of my life living near the ocean, I love shells, too. I have many, many memories of shell seeking, and I even used them when playing with my dolls - to decorate their house. The decorating bug bit me at a very young age.

Oh Cindy,

I know what you mean. I got hit by the shell bug myself. There is a shop near me that only sells shells and I walked by the other day. They are closing down and everything is 1/2 off. There prices were very cheep to start with so the 1/2 off makes them almost free. I stocked up on them and have tons and tons of shells.

They are popping up all over my house. So summery looking.

Hugs,
Joanne

I love shells too, and have been adding them here and there lately. We're headed to a big lake (okay, big for Utah LOL) for vacation this month, and I can't wait to gather the little "clam" shells on the beach!
