Too Pretty to Resist!

Pin It Now!

Last Friday a coworker and I went over to Marshalls on our lunch hour. I found this teapot and when I turned it over to look at the price I could not believe it ~ $7.99. You can click on the photo to enlarge it and see the beautiful detail around the top. Then I found a matching plate with handles...$6.99. Then two mugs $2.99 each! They even have more pieces but I'll get those another time. I just love everything about these...it's probably a good thing they don't have a full set of dishes in this pattern because I wouldn't be able to resist!

Recently discovered your blog, and love it! I, too, love to decorate, but 3 things prevent me from doing it to the extent you do....
1. We're a military family. We get charged if we have too much stuff.
2. I have 9 children. Enough said, huh?
3. When I look at your beautiful things, all I can think is....."I would HATE to dust all of that!!!"

So, hats off to you and your talents and your apparent love of dusting! I will decorate, vicariously, through you. =)

Those are beautiful and I can understand why you had to get them. That plate with the handles is really different...how cute to put the little petit-fours on with tea!

Oh, I can hardly pass TJ Maxx or Marshalls without stopping to see if they have something that needs to come home with me. I love these treasures you found!

Hi Cindy -- the pattern looks a lot like my Royal Albert china pattern ---Lady Carlyle. ---except where yours is turquoise in the borders, mine is bright pink. Are your pieces marked?

Dear Cindy,
Darn...we don't have a Marshall's here where I live! What a great deal you got, they look like really pricy antiques!
Hope you are having a great work week and enjoying sunny weather!

I'm hoping our Marshall's have some of these pieces. On your recommendation I'm going to go check it out today. We really need some new coffee mugs.
Thanks for the tip!

Oh my, you did GREAT, girl! Lucky, lucky you! Unfortunately, my Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores haven't been carrying much in the way of pretty china pieces lately. Or maybe I'm just getting there too late...after all the good stuff like this is gone!

I love Marshalls. Ours closed years ago so I have to go to Ann Arbor, MI but I do love Marshalls. They have the best finds. These are very pretty.

Hugs,
LeAnn :)

Wow, I need to get to Marshall's I have not been in ages. How pretty!

Cindy,

what beautiful finds! They do indeed look like the pattern of Lady Carlyle, like someone else mentioned. I have a set of dishes just like that pattern, except there is pink where the turquoise is on yours. I got mine in the Home Goods. I got them around the holidays last year. Boy, was my credit card smoking that day! They were priced so cheap though.
