This is so me!

Pin It Now!

I found this on the Ralph Lauren website!  I love it!  Blue and white and plates on the wall....it's so me!  I've always loved Ralph Lauren everything!  My daughter, Lauren, was named because of my love of the Ralph Lauren style!

Thanks so much to all of you for your tips on wallpapering and rewiring my electrical plug! Wow you guys are amazing. I think I may try to wallpaper the bathroom!   A special thanks to Kelly at Rose Vine Cottage...you were right, the plug on the nightlight twists all the way around so I don't have to rewire after all!  I would have never noticed that!  If you haven't checked out Kelly's blog you should.  She has great style...I love her cottage!   My little nightlight chandelier looks so much better now that it's not hanging upside down!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already done so.  Wow, I can't believe I already have over 200 people entered!  We've got a great party going on so please join in!   This has been so much fun I think I'll be doing a another giveaway next month for my 3 year blog anniversary...I can't believe I started this blog almost 3 years ago.  I started out VERY  slowly but now I love posting every day.  I've thought about deleting those early posts because they were so bad but I'm leaving them there to remind me how far I've come. Blogging has been a big learning experience for me.

It's been soooo hot here!  It's almost 11:00pm and it's finally cooling down a bit...it 78 degrees! It got up to 99 degrees today which was a record high for the day.  Luckily today was the hottest day and it's supposed to start slowly cooling down tomorrow.

That is a beautiful room!

I can't wait to see your finished bathroom.

I hear you guys are sending your heat wave down to us in So CA. I hate the heat when it gets that hot.

But I have so many projects to paint so that should make them dry much faster.

It does look like your style. Maybe someday you'll find a headboard like it and you'll have the room of your dreams.
It is just starting to cool here as well at 11 pm. It was in the mid to high 90's.
Without air conditioning, I am melting. I was drinking lemon water all day. Just finished an ice cream.
Stay cool. I am sleeping downstairs tonight.

Hi Cindy!
It's a gorgeous room but your bedroom is as beautiful, don't kid yourself! Your decorating is wonderful.
If Wes & I can hang wallpaper you can. Just follow the directions and be sure to have the equipment you need.

Great bedroom and Lauren should be very grateful she wasn't named Ralph or Polo!

Hi Cindy
That bedroom is so me too! It's giving me some ideas....Our bedroom is already those colors. Maybe I could make a few more pillows. I've got a few spare plates. I wonder if my hubby would think it's too feminine?
Hope you have a great weekend.

Absolutely gorgeous, Cindy - so tranquil and yummy! I have no blue in my house but this makes me want to add some! Just lovely!

Yep, that bedding is beautiful and sooooooo you! Do I feel a bedroom makeover coming in the near future?

It's pretty warm here in Florida too but not anywhere near 99 degrees, thank goodness! I hope your apartment has air conditioning!

Have a great weekend, Cindy.

Hi Cindy,
That does look just like your taste - it's beautiful.

I just found Kelly's blog a few days ago, she has a beautiful home filled with lovely things!

Hopefully things will be cooler here tonight as well, yesterday they were saying hotter - it's hard to decorate in that kind of weather. There is a lovely Barn Sale this weekend though ;)

Happy weekend~

Good Morning Cindy,
I have been reading bits and pieces of your blog and its so charming! Congrats on all your accomplishments! I do wonder why people needed to comment on your pocket book-as far as I am concerned it is your own business but you sure do have a way with making a dollar go far!
I am enjoying your decorating and blog very much!

I agree it is a beautiful room, but your room is beautiful, too.

I say go for the wallpaper. It is exquisite.

I'm glad you shared this room with us. I absolutely love it. I have blue and white wallpaper in my bedroom. I haven't added any accessories yet, but I may see if any of my vintage plates will work.

I have the same problem with the outlets being upside down. I need to turn some of those around as well. I have some night lights that need to be right side up. :>)

You can send a little bit of that heat here to Ohio. We may get up to 75 in another week.

The blue and white room is beautiful and inviting. Your plans sound wonderful. Check out Victoria magazines latest issue, all blue and white. I think you will love it.

Ralph does have a nice idea...or two...or million! That headboard is a masterpiece!!! Who could resist it?????
Glad you have the chandelier issue
resolved...but I was just thinking
you could use it upside down and
everyone would just think,"ohhh, those quirky Californians!". :)

Cindy, I am so glad that you got the outlet issue resolved. Isn't it great when it is something simple?

I can't believe you're having such heat already! I'm loving our weather today, its about 72 and there is a nice breeze coming in the patio door. (I'm in Nebraska, where the weather changes on a dime though. It was pouring rain yesterday.)

Cindy,
Wow, love that bed room, it is so me too! Our nursery guest room would look so cute with that wallpaper but I have too many project ideas and not nearly the energy that you do to accomplish them. You are amazing!

I just read that hydrangeas are you favorite flower.. mine too. But since you rent do you still plant perennials at your apartment?
Do you mind sharing with me your favorite hydrangea? I had about 25 planted at my previous house and am now starting over.
My favorites are pink climbing roses along with purple catmint and purple salvias. Congrats on your TV filming coming up.

I love that big old Victorian bed painted white! We may be redoing our room soon, so I will have to keep that in mind.

Good luck on the papering -- I'm sure you will do a great job. Hope you are getting some cooler weather

I agree, I love everything Ralph does! Too bad he makes his flowered jeans so narrow, I always try them on, and they just don't fit short round people!!

Those are beautiful pictures..good ideas for your home. I havent got the time to look around more at your site, but will try to come back soon. Thanks.

My! I just love your style and your apartment. My hutch is almost the same as yours, only I bought mine in the 80s. I want to redo mine, too; you have given me the inspiration to do so. (I'm sick of looking at oak everything, and the dining room set just cost too much money to try to replace it.)

Of course, today I'll do nothing; it's 100 degrees here in So. Cal in the Inland Empire. Surely you didn't send us that weather, did you?

Thanks again for a good read.

Cindy, Thank you for stopping by my page AND for leaving a comment. Besides my daughter, you are the only reader to leave a remark! I was so happy to have you visit! The pictured bedroom is simply beautiful. I am nervous that the fabric I chose for the bedroom that I am working on is more intense than I want. Seeing the beautiful photo on your blog made me worry that I might have too much color in the room! Oh no...

It finally got hot here in Utah. Seems like we skipped spring this year and are heading straight into summer!
