Kitchen Chalkboard

Pin It Now!

Ginger at Enchanting Cottage asked to see some better pictures of my kitchen chalkboard. I found the frame for this at the flea market, it was either $5 or $10...I can't remember. I asked my dad if he would cut a piece of wood for the back so I could make a chalkboard out of it. When he gave it back to me, I was shocked! He not only put the wood on the back he took it all apart and added a tray for the chalk and eraser, and painted it in my favorite shabby chic way!
It looks small in these pictures but it's huge! Look at the eraser on the tray to get an idea of the scale of this! It's perfect for this wall in my kitchen!

OH Cindy thank-you so much for sharing this beautiful peace. I knew the detail on it would be just perfect. It would be priceless! You and your dad should start a small business. I am sure you would get LOTS of busness.
Take care and thank-you again.

Can I borrow your Dad for, oh I don't know, three months or so? I love that. I have a giant expanse of wall in our eating area and I've always wanted to put a big chalkboard there.

Your Dad is wonder.

I
have an old vintage "blackboard" that my husband brought home one day. I'll admit, at first, "what am I going to do with this?" I will now say, I'd be lost without it.. yours is so nice. Aren't Dad's wonderful... I miss mine so much.
