Did I miss something, is it summer?

Pin It Now!

I think we skipped spring here and went directly to summer. It was very warm yesterday and today it's supposed to be 83 degrees! Can you believe that!!! Last night when I went to bed it felt like a hot summer night. I had my bedroom window open all night and it was still warm! I'm not complaining but I kind of like the build up to summer.

I worked in my yard this weekend and I also worked on my bedroom. I just want to say that I HATE stripping furniture! I liked it at first but now I hate it. I have 1 more piece to strip and I'll be done with stripping. My bedroom set has a dresser with 9 drawers, and then I have a tall dresser with 5 drawers, plus a nightstand and a side table. I almost forgot the headboard. I've been working on this project for about a month now and I'm ready for it to be DONE!!! I've taken the last two Fridays off of work to work on this! I can see the end coming but it's still a couple weeks away.

I don't have any pics because I was too busy working on my furniture and garden to take any, so here's a few of my Flickr favorites.

Cindy, your Flickr montage was beautiful. The lambs remind me of a visit my husband and I made to Ireland a few years ago. They were so sweet looking on the green hillsides. The weather in the Bay Area has been fabulous this past few days! I expect once we get used to it, the rain will come back again!

I agree--stripping is the worst! Your bedroom is going to well worth all the work, though. Can't wait.

The rewarding thing about stripping furniture is the end result...it is the in between dirty grungdy stuff you have to go thru to get there that I don't like...but it is always a great feeling when you get it done! good luck and don't work to hard..take care,Gail

Hi Cindy. I know that stripping paint can be a bore. I have been stripping the paint off of our 9" high baseboards for the past year. I just finished the living and dining rooms so now all that is left is for me to paint them but I have run out of steam......hopefully I will have the job done by summer. I love your flickr collage. The colors are gorgeous and I want to live in that pink cottage.

WOW! You'll need a long rest in that gorgeous bedroom once you get it finished! I don't know much about Flickr. These photos are so beautiful. Are they your photos that you've posted to Flickr, or favorites from other people? I don't quite understand how that works. The colors of the photos and the subjects make me feel like spring. xoxoxo

Just think of how gorgeous your bedroom suite is going to look! I love, love, love your Flickr mosaic! We're just entering into spring ~ today was the first day that the temperature got over 50 degrees! Unfortunately, there is some snow in the forecast for the weekend but the stuff on the ground is melting fast.
