I need your help!

Pin It Now!

I remember hearing a quote, something about....
I would rather have fresh flowers in my home than diamonds around my neck.
Does anyone know that quote and who said it? I love that quote because that's so *me*! I love fresh flowers in my home and I would have them in every room if I could afford to. I cut flowers from my garden in the spring and summer but my garden does not provide me with enough. I need a huge cutting garden, like Martha Stewart or the Barefoot Contessa! I also love the quote that says something about...give me a small home with a large garden...anyone know that one? That's so *me* too!

I bought these flowers at Trader Joe's last Sunday and only two of the flowers have opened. I love long-lasting bouquets.

Thanks! I googled it and couldn't find it. Trader Joes will probably be there soon, they are really growing.

Yes, Trader Joe's not only has pretty flowers but I just couldn't live without their goat cheese and blueberry yogurt balls. They have great items there. (Sorry Diana) I think every city should have a Trader Joe's. As for your flowers, they are soooo pretty. I used to put an aspirin in the water,as my mother used to tell me, to keep the flowers from wilting but it never really helped. So now I follow Martha Stewarts advice and put in a little clorox in the water. I must say, they do last a little longer. Just a tip. Enjoy your bouguet :)

I popped in to tell you it was Emma Goldman but I see Diana beat me to it. It is one of my favorite quotations!
I so agree with you...I love fresh flowers. They just perk up a space, any space.
Oh how I LOVE Trader Joe's. We have one near us and it is wonderful.

Loved your post...as always!

Love,
Sue

I wish we had a Trader Joes. I haven't seen one since we lived in Oregon. Your flowers are gorgeous, love the color. Got a note from Yvonne yesterday from the Four Shabby Chicks and she says they have more of the powder room signs now. xoxox
