Little Changes - Show and Tell Friday

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!
I've made a couple little changes around my little apartment. I mentioned that I want to go more with aqua blue than French blue so I painted the shutters an aqua color.
I also bought some new pillows with a gift card I had from Pier One Imports. These pillows are great because the have yellow and a few different shades of blue which sort of ties in the aqua I'm slowly adding and still has the French blue that I already have around my place. My French blue china cabinet that you see in the reflection is one of the big French blue pieces. I'm not sure if I will repaint that or just leave it as is.
I also hung a birdcage that I already had above the chest of drawers in the corner and hung some plates above the shutter.
I still need to repaint my coffee table! It looks a little too shabby for me. It was the first thing I ever painted and that was about 15 years ago!
I also want to get a new lampshade for the standing lamp on the right. I hung some lace around the sad-looking shade and that was supposed to be a temporary fix and I think that was about 15 years ago! I think I need to make a list of all my projects! I seem to get things done faster if I have a list!
The gorgeous aqua fur throw on the sofa is actually my daughter's and every time she brings it out to the living room I just want to keep it there! I think I need to get one of those for the living room!

Thanks to all of you that join in on Show and Tell Friday every week and thanks to all of you who leave such nice comments!

Thanks for hosting! I have shared coconut oatmeal cookies. This was the first cookie recipe I adapted once I was diagnosed with severe food allergies. What do you think?

Aqua blue has become my favorite decorating color as well. I also collect bird cages. I would love to find one like yours to hang on the wall. Your new home is looking beautiful.
