Decorating with Lemons - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

After I removed my Christmas decor from my 3-tiered stand I wasn't sure what to replace it with.  Since all the lemon trees around here are filled with lemons right now I decided to go with a lemon and lime theme.

When my mom bought this tiered dish in the early 60s, the shop had ceramic lemons displayed in it so I'm sort of recreating that look.

This cute little bunny gravy boat belonged to my mom.  I've always loved it so last time I was visiting my dad it came home with me. I had it packed away during the holidays but since he has a little lemon on his back I decided to display it on my table.

Some of these lemons are from my backyard and some are faux.  I went to grab a lemon out of here last night for our salmon dinner and I had to squeeze a couple of them to find the real ones!

I have a ceramic lemon topiary in my kitchen and I love how they two rooms tie together with this lemon theme.

I added some real lemon leaves and also some Camellia leaves to add a little greenery to it.  I think this will stay through January but I'm already thinking of how I can decorate it for Valentine's Day.

In case you missed it, I did another post earlier this week!  I'm going to try my best to post more than once a week in 2013!  For years I posted 5 days a week! I'm not sure how I kept that up for so long, it makes me exhausted just thinking about it!

  32. Cindy, I remember that beautiful lemon centerpiece. So funny the faux looked like the real. I also love the topiary on the kitchen counter.
We have friends who have citrus trees here. I keep telling Bob we should try. A friend has, Meyer lemon, lime and orange trees that are productive.
So neat that you can just go out and get lemons when you like.
    Happy New Year, Ginger

  44. Such a bright and cheerful post to view on a dreary cold day in NC. Love that you have a lemon tree to enjoy. I can't look at a lemon without being appreciative. I had terrible morning sickness with my first pregnancy and someone told me to cut a lemon in half, carry it in a baggie and smell it anytime I got queasy. It worked... and she loves lemons now!! Love your blog! Melinda
