Show and Tell Friday!

Pin It Now!

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

This week I'm sharing my lilacs from last year! I'm so bummed, this year I only got 4 small sprigs of blooms on my bush!  The worst year ever since I planted my lilac bush many years ago!

In previous years I got 2 full bouquets about the size of these!!!

I sure hope next year is better!

The good news is that is looks like it's going to be a great year for my Eden Roses!  The vine is covered with buds and I can see a little pink starting to show through on some of the tight green buds so it shouldn't be too much longer before they are in full bloom!

They are still pretty. Maybe your roses will more than make up for the small amount of lilacs. My lilacs have not bloomed yet, so I don't know what to expect. Thanks for hosting Cindy!

Hello Cindy, Lilacs are one of the most beautiful and fragrant flowers. I miss them - we had a bush in Ohio and they don't seem to like the weather here in Georgia. So sorry - I hope next year will be better - the pictures are wonderful! Thank you for being a gracious hostess,
Kathy

I can almost smell the lilacs just looking at your pictures. I didn't have very many blooms last year either. I'm hoping to get more this year. We'll see ... my bush is about ready to burst into bloom. Thanks for hosting!

Thank goodness you have the pictures as a remembrance to hold you over. My eyes lite up a little when I saw that first photo. So pretty! It is storming and blowing out here on the Oregon Coast... I feel like Spring will never arrive.

Love the lilacs. It is early here in Portland but I always look forward to a few days of the delightful scent in the house!

Hi Cindy! Your pictures are GORGEOUS! I love the purple and white! I wouldn't worry too much about your lilacs. Did you prune them late last year? That will make them flower less the next year. BUT next year you will really be rewarded.
Thank you for the peek inside your beautiful home...
Have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs,
Donna

Hi Cindy! Happy Friday! Sorry that your Lilacs weren't as fruitful as in past years. I think the weird Winter we all had has made for a bit of a lackluster Spring for most of us. It'll be a few weeks before we'll know how it affected us here, but I'm sure it will be pretty much the same. (The lilacs from last year were stunning, though!)
Thanks so much for hosting another week of Show and Tell Friday! Hope you have an awesome weekend! ~ Mary

I only have 3 bushes, but my two best producers have very few buds. My newest, and smallest is loaded, but cutting any will prune the tree back! Hoping I can find some road 'hedges' I can help myself too ;)

Your lilacs just take my breath away... i would love to have a lilac bush, but apparently they don't do well in North Carolina... Wonder why there are less blooms this year?? I had the same deal last year with a couple of plants, hardly any blooms, and this year they're loaded with flowers... who knows!

Beautiful lilacs! You have displayed them beautifully too.Our little bush is just starting to grow. We had a few cuttings last year. Crossing my fingers the snow expected tomorrow will not hurt the new blooms. Sorry I'm a bit late to the party. But I am so happy to participate xo

Cindy your lilacs are beautiful, I don't care if they are from last year. Sorry you didn't get as many this year. Everything is different this year because of the crazy weather. I love seeing your pictures, they are always beautiful.
