Happy Father's Day

Pin It Now!

I'm late getting this post up but I had to say Happy Father's Day to my dad on my blog...after all he is  my biggest fan!

I drove up to visit him yesterday (he lives 2 1/2 hours away from me) and he gave me a stack of old photos and this one of the two of us in our backyard was in there. I think I must have been about 12-14 years old here which means it was taken around 1972-74.  Usually I can figure out my age by what I'm wearing but i don't remember that outfit at all!

Love you Dad!  I'll see you next weekend at the beach!

I hope your dad is doing well.
"First" holidays without a loved one are always hard. I'm sure he really enjoyed your company yesterday.

That photo of you is adorable. I can tell that even when you were a teen you loved lacy, feminine things. The upper portion and cuffs on your top are so pretty!

On an unrelated subject...I meant to tell you before now that about a month ago, Debbie (from NJ) came to visit me again for a week. (It had already been TWO years since she was here the first time!) As usual, we had an absolutely WONDERFUL time and our bond of friendship is stronger than ever. Of course we have you and your blog to thank for that. :)

What a cute photo. Your Dad is a handsome man...and I think you are probably right about the year-look at the flare on your Dad's pantlegs. I'll bet you're glad you made the trip up to see him. xo Diana

Great picture!
Ok, I have to ask...where you on 680 yesterday morning??! I passed a Jaguar with an awesome personalized license plate that made me think of you when I read it! (related to blogging)

Cindy said...

Yes Wendy! That probably was me! I was on the way to my dad's house! My license plate says "I (heart) 2 Blog" The (heart) is actually a heart symbol though. If you passed me then you were probably flying! haha!

Too funny! That was you! I remember you bought your dream jag but when I saw your license plate, I thought "I wonder if that's Cindy!" I was driving so I didn't want to wave like a crazy stalker (plus my husband and son would think I'm nuts).
And yes, I did drive a little too fast : )

What a sweet photo of you and your father - something to treasure. Love your pretty ivory top - I was in my early 20's in the early 70's and that was the style we wore. The popular craft at the time (which I couldn't begin to do) was people used to make macrame plant hangers, key chains, belts, purses. I still have a macarame hanging owl my mom bought for me in the early 70's!! Thanks for the step back in time - it was fun, and thank you for sharing. I wish you and your father and your family well.
